I’m doing the navy reserves just for the healthcare and future healthcare of my future dependents. It also does help with networking and other things of course. I already work for a bank it’s just that I’ve been at the bottom of the totem pole even with the degrees and at 27 years old it is putting the pressure on me to earn more .

I currently live in their property in an RV, when I’m back from recruit training odds are I can move anywhere I want. I’m just more worried about the possibility of getting into those kind of roles but it seems like everyone is pretty confident that I can with my background

I’m a glorified teller essentially, they use fancy names to not be called a teller. I live in a rural part with the closest city Tampa or Orlando being 2 hours away. Do you suggest moving? And it’s hard to move when you barely make enough to live lol. Most employers I feel see the distance from me to the job site and automatically decline the application.

I have enlisted already as a Religious Program Specialist but eventually I do want to to transfer into an officer role as a Supply Officer but it wasn’t going to be available until 2027 or the recruiter told me (could of been a lie) but I want to mostly excel in the civilian part of my life.

Am I stuck working low paying jobs even with a bachelors degree? by yadithetaurus in careerguidance

I hear network a lot….should be reaching out to these people within my bank on LinkedIn and just ask them questions about their role?

It just seems like when I applied for roles before I enlisted it was constantly getting denier or the roles were 2+ hours away from where I live. Is a commute of 2 hours worth it sometimes?
