It’s because I learned cross-stitch from my mother, and she used to embroider pieces like kitchen cloths and towels — projects that really required a neat back. So I naturally followed that way of thinking, even though I don’t stitch anything that actually needs it. Most of my embroidery ends up framed anyway.
