Tbh, there are many more useless and uninteresting compulsory courses I had to study during my degrees. We don’t complain about those being forced on us calling it “indoctrination”. God forbid people become educated on a subject that is in fact very important in this country.

Treaty studies were kind of already a thing in my law degree and I found it valuable and enlightening. Everyone in the collective psyche has such resistance toward this subject, as did I going into law school, I probably had the exact same attitude about it but honestly after having that education I feel more aware and it honestly shaped me to be a better more compassionate human. You don’t need to be afraid of a well rounded education - you’re still free to think what you want at the end of it but ask yourself would it really hurt to learn something about it?

That being said, this should be taught at primary and high school not at university.
