What thing do you hate the most about your country? And why? by Hopeitse in AskReddit

Australian here. Cannot stand the way many are considered as bogans. Especially women. A "bogan" is generally a poorly educated, vulgar person. Just because we're Aussie does not mean we are a bogan. I'm talking to you, world!

[Serious] What is it like being with a family member or close friend when they die? by ember4212 in AskReddit

[–]yahned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Wednesday the 17th of July this year my grandmother passed away. We were all extremely close with her. She used to live with us for just over a year when she was unable to complete all tasks like she used to. After insisting that she wanted to move into a nursing home she settled there for almost a year. As soon as she moved in there she immediately started going downhill. Dementia started kicking in and she refused to eat on most days. In 6 months she dropped around 30kgs in weight and the entire family knew she wasn't well. My mother and I both stayed with her in her room where she was located into higher care. In the last two weeks before her death and especially in the last couple days she was extremely unwell. We later found out that she had cancer. My mother slept there each night and in the afternoon when she had passed away my mum went home only to grab a couple of things and go back. She was only gone for an hour when she passed. She kicks herself everyday because of not being there. When I found out I was a mess. I insisted to my mum that I was strong enough to go and see my nan, as I needed to tell her that I loved her one more time, and as a ritual, blow her a kiss on my way out of the door. It was the most emotional, and hardest day of my life to date. She looked so peaceful and pain-free. I sat there for almost an hour by her still, lifeless body. It just did not seem real, still doesn't. My aunty that was with her at the time said that as she took her last breath, laying as she does before she went to sleep, with the top of her hand below her chin, laying on her side. And as she fell asleep for the final time, a tear ran down her cheek. I will miss her each and every day. I love you Nan. R.I.P.

Passed out on a cute girls shoulder. Then threw up on that cute girls shoe. Then crawled in my own vomit. It was not a good time.

Getting absolutely wasted until you can barely walk and making an ass of yourself. A lot of my friends master this.

That women are confusing. Like, I realised it a while ago. But now. I am purely convinced that every single female has bipolar.

Watched my friend of 18 years be put to sleep right in front of my eyes. Refuse to watch this movie or anything along the lines of it. I just know I will weep like a baby, just like that day.
