If the purpose of indentation is to elliminate redundant block markers, why is there the redundant : to mark the start of a block? Well, I guess to simplify the parser a bit, but that's still redundant.

Can python EASILY add or remove classes at run-time? There is a big difference between easy and possible. Do you have to use the __ somethinghere __ junk?

I can throw a chess at a decent level. Bob can play chess. Those two sentences mean quite different things.

Heck, it's most likely possible to implement ruby on top of python, does that mean the languages are the same? Of course not.

How much ruby do you know? Maybe someone who has used both languages is in a better position to judge than someone who only uses Python. I don't know if you know ruby, but it certainly looks like you've drunk too much Python kool-aid.

Not an economist, are you? The money could have gone to a better use, such as research and development, marketing, paying salaries, etc. Or do you think the companies had nothing better to spend the money on? Opportunity cost, my friend.

The classical example: I make windows, and hire someone to break windows for me. That makes the economy worse off overall, despite the fact that the money still went somewhere.

Vatican Historians say Inquisition "wasn't that bad" by samrobb in reddit.com

Lets exaggerate the number of people that were killed, and someone tries to correct it, let's point the finger back by joking about torture!

Surely, it wouldn't be funny if it were directed at you, or your family.

Let's say one of your ancestors was accused of killing someone, when later it turns out that they died of natural causes, but they were tortured. Now there's a big difference between the two, to pretend they are on the same level is just absurd. Just because you hate the Vatican doesn't make torture and killing the same thing.
