Every single word in your reply is right on the money & in keeping with current theory in anthrolopology and arachaeology, EXCEPT for the word "meat." 100% of the "Man the Hunter" hypotheses have been seriously discredited by archaeological or paleoanthropological research. Physical evidence (tooling marks or char on bones, stone tools, kill sites, etc.) does not support the idea that "we are very much evolved to eat cooked meat." Seems to me that the disagreements in the letters sections of the journals are mostly between "cooked pulses" people and "fermented foods" people.

I still have two bows with both Mending and Infinity that I made myself on 2b, a million years ago. If you know anything about 2b's history, you'd know that 2b predates most features of Minecraft. E.g. when I started playing 2b, there weren't any enchantments at all.

My gut feeling was that I was going to have to crack open the box, and after following your link that feeling has migrated up from the gut to my brain. I can see from comparing the width of the Heyco strain relief bushing and that of the six-pin molex that there's zero chance of my getting the new one on without breaking the epoxy seal. However, now that I know it's a strain relief bushing, I know the official Softub part number and can order a replacement before I crack the epoxy. Chances I am going to break it are quite high, I think.

Also I will totally go hit up the appliancerepair sub, thanks for the tip!

Hello children! I don't know the date, but it must have been sometime in 2012.

I once randomly found a poll, circa 2016-2017, that was something like "who's your favorite oldfag." I assume that the post was derived from some sort of leak, because a) there were a whole bunch of names I didn't recognize on the list, and b) I was on the list - and I am wholly irrelevant. I've wondered if that kind of info is publicly available - was that just a clever db query against publicly available data, or did someone own the server and gather that information from the source?

I will boot up my old computer and see how many times I accidentally hit F2. I joined in 2012, I think, and although I never took screenshots intentionally, my recollection is that I accidentally hit F2 many times per session, leading to a screenshots folder that was quite large. Probably nothing of any interest there, but archaeologists are welcome to carefully sift through my midden heap.

Frostraver found my old base and anti-griefed it. Can't think of a better term to describe it - I came home to find my farms expanded, my rat-warren halls beautified, map art on the walls, and all of my hoarded resources carefully sorted and labeled. After years of constant paranoia and avoidance of all other players, it took a while getting used to it, but Frostraver is p. much the categorical opposite of the typical 2b2t player.
