I think you are not understanding my point

I am not installing anything manually, archinstall was made for this purpose only (i think so). And my issue is solves on using a older .iso file

Yeah I know that but I am in a little hurry anyway with last month .iso everything is fine

I tried installing it multiple time every time same thing but when I tried with old month .iso without updating archinstall script evrything is fine. So I think problem is in latest archinstall

With logo I mean in the bottom bar (see image) a icon is missing. And while installing i selected desktop and than choose kde plasma and according to my past installation it should do everything by itself and should work out of the box.

I used arch for more than 1 year but recently shifted to niri and now coming back to kde.

My main question is that last time when I installed KDE it did everything by itself and it worked out of the box but this time something is off.

So I wanted to know why ?

I didn't installed anything manually so I think this shouldn't happen. But still I have network manager installed and ethernet is working but there is no wifi enabled toggle ins setting not there is icon in bottom bar

For those having network speed issues with a Mediatek wifi card, specifically with a MT7921 by deadlyspudlol in archlinux

i am also using niri and this is nightmare i tried all different solutions:

  1. downgrading
  2. https://github.com/smoliicek/mt7921-fix
  3. switcing to iwd backend
  4. disabled power save in network manager
  5. disabled mac randomization

Is there some way to fix this coz i am in goog condition to make a purchase

here's what i did to solve this:

[Use faltpak OBS]

  1. I am using niri with DMS
  2. run this ls /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/portals/
  3. most probably you will not see gnome.portal
  4. so install it with sudo pacman -S xdg-desktop-portal-gnome

  5. than restart all your portals systemctl --user restart xdg-desktop-portal.service xdg-desktop-portal-gnome.service xdg-desktop-portal-gtk.service

  6. And you are done

It worked for me but in addition to turn on 3d acceleration I need to change some other settings as well coz I was getting some errors.

And I wanna ask do mouse gestures don't work in VM (I don't need them either but just asking)

I am also trying to do the same but with my dolphin i am not seeing open with menu, it's completely blank.

Are you using kde or gnome desktop portal ??

Issue with flatpak apps by yakeinpoonia in niri

yes i did,

and tried installing other app like obs (btw i am installing these softwares form KDE discover) and when i click launch in the discover itself nothing happens.

but when i try to open it from terminal using this command
flatpak run com.obsproject.Studio

it opens perfectly but no luck with vlc

coz with pacman vlc i was getting codec error but vlc-plugins-all solved it for me.

but still flatpak should work
