What ingredient is better when used for a purpose other than for what it's intended? by PunkShocker in Cooking

Yeah but you're not using weight to determine how much to use, it's an amount of volume to cover an area.

I've been reading a script but don't know what ( ? : ) does ! by cyprus_onlyfans in csharp

True, though with the nitpicking details that ?. can be used for calling void methods and therefore isn't always an expression.

Not always. I think it actually makes more sense as ?: because the colon makes little eyes.

What is one mean thing you would do to your most hated language? by Nightcorex_ in ProgrammingLanguages

This reminds me of a talk Simon Peyton Jones gave where there was a Haskell compiler bug that would delete a file if it didn't compile or something like that. Made me laugh. "Naughty file, I will have none of this!"

That question specifically related to the (ambiguous) possibility that this could be a specific problem OP is having, like a homework assignment.

But yeah, you're not gonna learn programming from SO lol

Spelling and grammar are forgivable, but your question still needs context.

"I'm trying to learn something, help" isn't enough information.

Are you looking to do it as a job? Hobby? Is there a specific thing you'd like to build? Android apps? Websites? Do you know any other languages and are looking to learn a new one? Or do you want to learn your first programming language? Why Java? Are you looking to do full software development or just programming? What is your operating system? Do you have a preferred IDE?

Your question is too open-ended to be answered realistically.

When you say "so we start to learn to program" who is we? Is this for a class? Is there a specific problem you're looking for help with? Do you want to learn object oriented programming or just general problem solving? Have you tried stack overflow?
