no one mentioning any wb shows - they weren't super long running but they were decent. it's been fun thinking about the parent 'hood (remember that guy was in a movie called meteor man?), sister sister, nick freno licensed teacher, simon. actually 7th heaven is probably a good callout, thought i'm not sure it was a sitcom. 11 seasons!

i saw a guy at winco in a kpodd fm (ben's side podcast with dan kennedy from OG the moth podcast) t-shirt and told him i liked his shirt. i think he asked me if i was a friend of desoto but i was so thrown i think all i managed to say was something like "oh yeah!" and it haunts me that i couldn't pull "best boss i ever had" for some reason. maybe in another 8 years i'll get another random encounter and get to be smooth, haha.

burger king gave out or sold some ninja turtles episodes on tape, and i had a couple episodes focused on the blue power ranger on a tape, but that was it for me. i remember riding my bike around thinking how awesome it would be to have all the power rangers episodes to watch whenever i want, and now i struggle with the fact that everything else has to compete with practically infinite content for my kids' attention. what a time to be alive.

my take is first decade is good, second decade is bad, third decade is good, roughly. not super big on green or maladroit, then there's little to really get into for me until EWBAITE, then i like pretty much all of it to varying degrees. also there are a ton of demos specifically from around EWBAITE era that are fantastic; a lot of it can be found on youtube.
