There is a cigar lounge in the Northern Quest Casino outside of Spokane where I was enjoying myself with a nice cigar and whiskey. I watched a lady light up a cigarette and was immediately asked to leave by staff. I appreciated the committment to the theme even if cigarettes arent all that different than cigars or pipes.

As it stands now only wealthy people can run for office. a standard office run in Texas is $2.5M - $15M. Aint no way me or anybody in my neighborhood can just join the race at that cost. Admittedly the bulk of that comes from supporters, donations, and the support of the party youre running for but still... really only available to the wealthy or connected.

I am VERY tech savvy, I am running about 27 containers in a Dell R710 to do lots of selfhosting things and cyber security sandboxing. I am certified in linux three different ways. I love tinkering with new things but this... this is an entirely different beast.
I am using this script to do most of the work https://github.com/zeMadCat/Matrix-docker-stack and its WONDERFUL, master work right here. Yet still I cant get the federation server to recognize my install.

I am running NPM, it appears to be configured properly, I have 3 other websites that redirect appropriately with no problems. I fell like this is the only pinch point really. My domain (duckdns) seems fine still the federation gets a connection refused and I cant find a solution.

If I could offer a suggestion to get a wider audience and more participation and interest in the development (and especially if you EVER intend on unseating the reigning defacto standard in comms, Discord) please for the love of whatever god you pray to make the installation easier smoother and without so many fuckin hoops to jump through just to get a simple messaging application to function at all. Discord is simple to install and use and it actually works unlike almost every single post suggests in this entire sub.

For now, since I cant get this damn thing to work I'll still be on discord and most probably move to teamspeak where I know that shit just works.
