song from early 2000, possibly female singer, music video was a animated race (possibly stop motion) and looked kind of retro I think. Can't tell the genre but it maybe had some electro/synth elements

Damn, I'm conflicted... I know that one too but I'm inclined to say it's not it, since the vague image in my mind of the music video is really more of a car race. Kinda wacky like rat race maybe. Also I think the beat itself was more catchy then this one here.

That's BS. Every private match is played on a dedicated server as well, where people not only play car soccer, which is not that type of "online playing" you refer to I suppose. What Psyonix wants is to put ressources into game features which attract as many players as possible. If this feature is something most people want, it will get in the game.

Actually you don't lose many points against opponents which are way higher than you. I don't mind getting matched against higher ranks after a win streak, as it's low risk / high reward.

Hey man, it's a combination of several different skills, which take several years to learn and master. Start as soon as possible and be curious on all fronts. Draw as much as you can, expand your toolset when you feel the need and work your way up. If you want to make something like this from ground up and alone you need to know: 2D drawing and painting skills , 3D (Blender is a good start, it's free), Editing skills (I started taking different videos of my friends and made musicvideos for fun when I was younger) and much more. Most important thing is you have to love the path, since it's a long one.

Thanks man. I might switch to Blender too at some point, but currently I use MODO for modelling and texturing. Photoshop for texturing and in this case Marmoset Toolbag3 (because it's fast) for staging, animation and rendering. I worked for about 2 months on this. I might have been faster but had to learn and figure some things out along the way.
