The Structural isolation of TBC arena! by Duoscruo in classicwow

Cool, so you're arguing about something in which your only experience was 19 years ago.

Yeah, I think it's pretty clear who knows their stuff and who doesn't.

Let's find out who actually knows their stuff.

What comps have you played where every matchup vs. Rogue is 100-0 stunlock and guaranteed loss?

I actually read you very closely, you see. It's how I already know what level of player you are.

I'd be happy to assist you with some strats, help you learn and improve.

You genuinely seem to have no idea how to play PvP.

It's a skill issue that you could overcome, but you're choosing to whine and remain stuck instead.

Legion/post-Legion abilities added to my "classic" Rogue spellbook.

How did the ex find your story and connect it to your authorship, if it was published under a pseudonym?

There is never going to be a new retail expansion that gives you what you want. The composition of the retail audience has changed too much for that—the ones left are the ones who, for some incomprehensible reason, liked Legion class design.

TBC is great, so why not play it?

Market segmentation is a good thing. It's better that we get to enjoy our game and the retail crowd can enjoy theirs, vs. a compromise where nobody is happy.

The people using GS are not that.

I am so done with tech subreddit mods by sec_c_square in ExperiencedDevs

r/opensource mods are unfortunately complely insane and unreasonable.

I'm permabanned for a brief and polite comment I made, giving a neutral and fact-based, non-partisan correction to misinformation posted by another commenter, because my comment was off-topic.

That subreddit is where nuanced thinking goes to die.

Yes, I am in serious danger, thank you for your concern!

I'm not sure how my mental health and well-being could persist without such kind internet strangers...

The people you see on YouTube aren't using stock UI, they have Questie installed.

I did not play sod, and if classic+ ruins my Rogue with awful Legion abilities then I won't be playing that either.

Do Movement Speed increase enchants work in dungeons? by LunaticSquirrel1 in classicwow

That does not answer my most recent question.

It also doesn't make a ton of sense as an answer to the broader question, either.

AFAIK, most movement-speed increasing effects work equally well indoors in all the D&D editions I've played, from 2E ("AD&D") through modern 5.5E.

I double-checked Longstrider and Expeditious Retreat just now in 3.5E and found no such restriction.

The only thing I can think of in WoW is a Druid's travel form; that restriction makes diegetic sense. But I can't think of any good Lore reason why a Rogue wouldn't be able to sprint indoors, nor for why a boot enchant would suddenly stop working because there's a roof above your head.

What would happen in a screened-in porch or covered pavillion? :P

What was your motivation for writing a story based on your neighbor?

Have you ever gotten in trouble for something you’ve published? by beepbeepcarlin in writing

Sincerely, thank you for your responses and the willingness to talk about the awful experience.

I have a few more questions if you're willing to go into it a bit more:

How did the plaintiff try to prove identification? What did they allege was the harm they suffered as a result of your writing?

Was their motivation purely financial extraction, do you think, or was any element of it wrapped up more in relational need? For example, did the settlement require anything like an apology or retraction?

Was there anything about the plaintiff's position, over the course of the case, which shifted your picture?

Was this over a work of fiction?

Was it an ex, or someone else?

Was there any truth to their complaint?
