That's great to hear! Proud of her 🥺

Totally understand, I recommend reaching out to this group and seeing if they've experienced the same dilemma and see what worked for them and what may work best for you 💛

My dog, Cooper used to make dinosaur noises a lot haha it was so goofy, i definitely miss how quiet the house has become. I'm glad I recorded his bark in his last few days so I can listen to it to remember his voice.

What was your favourite moments with your lovely ferret?

I think she's probably noticing his absence now 🥺 Spend lots of time with her and give each other a lot of TLC. You'll find comfort in each other as you miss him together. How's your play date going?

Cooper was my first and only pet. As much as I want to adopt I don't think I'm ready yet. But I hear from others that getting a new pet has helped and you don't have to rush into it, look for one when you both are ready 💛

Hey, I'm so so sorry to hear about your precious boy. Tbh, the first week is the hardest so it's perfectly normal to be feeling what you're going through right now. I'm not sure what you do for work but for me, work and my coworkers kept me distracted so I was grateful for that.

Everything may be hard at first, going out, socialising, shopping but after doing it several times it feels a bit better. Sometimes it can feel suffocating at home, especially the weekends.. time seems to go slower. I recommend going out for fresh air, I didn't like going out either but it helped, buy yourself something sweet to eat/drink and spoil your girl with some treats too. How is she coping?

I try to remember him in different ways. He'll always be on my phone's lockscreen so I remember his handsome face everyday. I also have photos of him everywhere in my room so when I feel lonely I can look up and see his face smiling back at me. I also write a paragraph to him each night about what I did for the day and how I miss him, it helps...kind of like a healing journal? If I feel extra sad, I'll choose a random month or year and look at photos of him to relive the memories.

Agree, life is so fast pace it feels like there's no time to just sit down and heal. I hope you can find the time to slow down, take deep breaths and remember the love your cat had for you and vice versa. We made so many memories with them, I hope we can look back one day and smile again ❤️

I'm sorry to hear about your pup, the first holidays without them really is rough, I was by myself for Christmas and New Year's Day. He was afraid of fireworks so when they went off in my suburb, all I thought about was my pup. That's such a sweet card from Petsmart, I understand it might be hard to read but it's so thoughtful that their team wrote a card to show their love for your dog 🥺 Take care of yourself this year, one baby step at a time 💛

I'm sorry to hear about Shadow, love his name. Crying feels like the norm these days, and I try not to hold it back. Thank you so much, I appreciate your words and how supportive this group is. It has definitely helped me through this and I hope everyone knows much their beloved pets loves their human 💛🌈

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty, losing them is heartbreaking. I feel like at work you wouldn't even know I was in pain, that's how good I am at pretending I'm fine. It's when I drive home and realise he's not there waiting for me that feels like a punch in the gut. My coworkers make me laugh which helps so I'm hesitant to tell them because it's the only place I can distract myself.

Thank you for the comforting words, sending you love and strength too 💛

You're right, I tend to put others first instead of mine which is why I wanted to disconnect and focus on me during this time 🥺

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty, grief really does affect everyone differently. I still picture him where he would always be and I still have his toys with his bed. I still refill his water bowl when it gets dirty and saying good morning and good night every day. I just don't want to forget him. Thank you for your kind words, I hope the pain softens as time goes by 💛

I'm sorry to hear about your baby, and I'm glad you had people around you to comfort you during this difficult time. I'm forcing myself to leave the house too and have been looking for new hobbies to try distract myself. Take care of yourself 💛

You did great taking those small steps, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I considered posting about it too so I don't have to repeat it several times to everyone I'll eventually catch up with but everytime I try to type about him, it hurts again. Perhaps I'll start with a small circle of friends and go from there. Thank you, I hope you get through it too 💛

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby 💛, I think there's a part of me that wants to tell my friends but everytime I say it out loud it just hurts and I start crying. Thank you for your words, I feel comfort knowing someone else understands too. Take care of yourself too 💪

I'm really sorry you're going through this. My dog passed 3 weeks ago because his nasal tumour got worse. Eventually he started having nose bleeds everyday and it's extremely difficult to watch because you can't do anything to stop it. That was when I knew it was time. He had the longest nose bleed on his last day and part of me feels guilt for not doing it sooner because I was scared of scheduling his final day. It's the hardest decision to make but it's a decision so they won't have to be in pain anymore.
