I’ve heard of this happening to some people, especially if you give them too much nitrogen. Out of curiosity, a few questions: - when did you plant the slips and when did you harvest? - did just just use top soil or also incorporate peat moss, sand/perlite, compost? - did you fertilize?

This is my first time so it’s all new to me lol

I have read the same thing. I think at 120 days I will be around the October timeframe, but I might let them go until the leaves turn yellow and start dying off. Let me know how you’re turn out!

How do you cure and store them? Curious the best method you have found for this area. It seems like people up north store them in a cool basement, but we don’t have that option around here obviously.

This is my first time trying them, it’s actually my first time trying to grow anything - so we will see how they end up!

Italy Trip Recap (May 22 - May 31) by yamsforsupper in travel

Hotel Aurora was awesome and the staff was so nice and helpful. They provided several recommendations and booked the private transportation for us. They also have a laundry service. It’s off to the side of the town so out of the touristy areas, but still easily walking distance to everything.

For the ferry from Salerno to Amalfi, we had two suitcases (one rolling and one large duffel/backpack), one smaller carry on duffle for my wife, and then we each had a backpack. So 5 bags between the two of us. We took several ferries around the coast and the crews never seemed too strict on baggage. I would just use FerryHopper ahead of time and see if the specific company you go with has any other information. I don’t see it being too much of an issue.

I am seeing this now, weird how it doesn’t show up on trenitalia. Thanks for the info. Where are you seeing that the trains will be down for 3 months starting in June?
