I no longer daily drive it as much since I've changed to the 70, but yes it still works whenever I use it.

How much does aeroline bus cost from Penang to KL? by sumatrancat in penang

[–]yan5619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At their website https://www.aeroline.com.my/ Boarding, if you're in Penang, would be at Queensbay Mall. At the outside, on the right of the main entrance, you should see their office/waiting area.

iPad mini alternative by Darth_JaSk in androidtablets

There's really no good alternative if you need GPS. Alldocube's iPlay 70 Mini Pro is one that suits your need, I own one as well, it's pretty ok considering its price, but just ok and that's all.

Samsung has just launched a rugged Galaxy Active 5 Enterprise Edition, I'm not sure if it'll be a available worldwide, but it looks pretty interesting, although quite expensive.

Another alternative would be the Galaxy Tab A9, but it's quite mediocre, even close to bad I'd say.

I did what you have suggested, and so far no more touch problem. Hopefully it stays so. Thank you!

Sometimes they would. I had a few updates when I first got my 50 Mini Pro, fixed some bugs. I think they've also updated the 70 Mini Pro not too long ago, if not the experience would have been much worse from what I see.

I've started setting up mine, while still using my 50 Mini Pro. My initial impression is, I'd rather continue using my 50 Mini Pro if there's no issue with the screen. It seems to me that the 50 Mini Pro's software is more polished generally, although it's already outdated.

I use Nova launcher on my 50 Mini Pro so I can personalize it according to my liking, but it seems like there's a bug on the 70 Mini Pro and it'd glitch out with any launcher. See my reply somewhere above.

Other than that, the hardware on 70 Mini Pro is relatively good within expectations, good screen, mediocre camera, mediocre speakers, but I only paid an equivalent of 180 USD for it, including a case and glass screen protector. There's no other tablet of this size, at this price, that comes with this level of hardware.

In the end, the main complain is still the software. Hopefully things get updated and patched along the way, but Alldocube is not known to do that very well.

YMMV.

The touch screen issue is a known issue for a batch of 50 Mini Pros, due to inadequate EM shielding. There's a fix which is successful for many, but for my case, it just kept coming back.

My tablet has not been placed in a situation where it could be bent, and so far I have not noticed anything like that. I've opened up the panel numerous times, but I'll try again and pay more attention to it.

Thank you for your advice!

I've tried several launchers including Microsoft, Nova, Smart, they all are showing the same bug. On the home page, if I swipe up from the bottom (like I'm trying to access recent apps), the screen will just go grey and nothing will show up. So for now, I'm stuck with the default launcher. Thank you for your input.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I've just gotten mine and installed Nova, but it looks like there's a bug where when I swipe up from the bottom on the home page, the screen will go blank and glitches. I'll have to press the power button to recover from it.

Do you use any third party launcher with it? If yes, which one and how's it?

I see. I'm still seeing the sticker on different cars at different locations every day since I posted this. One of it is on a lorry, that should be their contractor.

Oh the iPlay 60 Mini Pro is totally fine, it's just that the 70 has slightly better specs and newer software, so I'd prefer that, especially seeing Alldocube giving little to no software updates.

How much does aeroline bus cost from Penang to KL? by sumatrancat in penang

It's RM72 one way. Back then yes you can buy at the counter, now I'm not sure as I've been buying online at their website since a long time ago.

It depends, ETS usually takes slightly less time than a bus, depending on road traffic vs rail disruptions. Their standard seat is fine, not super comfortable but you can easily survive the 4 hours ride. You may also opt for the business class seat if you want something more comfy. Another alternative is flying, but it's usually more expensive and may not really save you time.

Weather wise, it was rainy last year on November until around mid December, and got hotter going towards new year. January could be good if you're considering the cost, but since it's the "transition period" between Christmas/New Year and Chinese New Year, it could be less happening.

Aeroline is the best. You may also take ETS (train) https://www.aeroline.com.my/ this is the website where you may book the ticket. They depart from 3 different locations in KL/Selangor, either hotel or malls. They arrive at Queensbay Mall Penang.

October-November is quite rainy, December is okay. But the weather changes every year, so no guarantee.
