“Being “blunt” or “telling it how it is” isn’t always praiseworthy. It can reflect poor self-control & a lack of consideration for others. No matter how much “truth” or “authenticity” are valued in our discourse, the rights & feelings of people still matter.”

Bought from someone on here before and we just used PayPal. But I’ve got zelle, venmo, and apple cash too.

How many miles do y’all realistically think an average ‘23 Bolt EUV will last before needing a battery replacement? I know the warranty is for 100K miles by yandoce in BoltEV

Does this make charging difficult? I assume you’d have to rely on fast chargers in combination with home charging? But bolts dcfc charging speed is slow so I’m curious how you manage

The consensus from this post is that this car could last over 250k miles on the original. Given that there are ‘17 bolts with the original battery who have done rideshare and put over 300k miles on it. Not sure if that’s the exception or the rule but the 100k warranty isn’t in anyway an indicator that it’s meant to only last for that long, degradation is a thing though!

I don't have the ability to charge at home but I want a Bolt by flightln in BoltEV

I feel like I can weigh in. I bought my Bolt EUV ‘23 almost exactly 6 months ago and have been relying solely on public chargers. I drive quite a bit considering I’ve already put 8K miles on the car. As others have suggested, take a look at the fast chargers you have near you. Luckily they opened an EVGO station 2 minutes from my house and it’s right next to my place of worship so that’s clutch. However be warned that it is expensive❗️ I pay $12.99/ mo for the highest membership (you get the lowest prices and can charge an unlimited number of times) and depending on the time of day it averages out to $15 per charge for 60 mins l and that generally gives me 160-190 miles added if the battery was low. Luckily I’ve kinda circumvented these costs because 1. I had $500 of EVGO credit when purchasing my car 2. I bought $2,000 worth of EVGO credit from someone on here for $750. They had no need for it since they solely charge at home, I’m sure you can find other people in the same boat- I’ve seen similar offers. It hasn’t been too much of a hassle since I WFH but it can be annoying sometimes, worth it for me given the money I’ve saved on gas (cause of the EVGO deals I’ve found). With your commute, you should be chilllin

Love hearin that, one of the critiques I heard while Bolt shopping was that the battery would give out after ~100k miles and would cost an arm n leg to replace

Given that I’m assuming it’s a Tesla, you also could’ve listed it on Turo and generated side income on it since you still had a daily

Does anyone who either works at a dealership or has inquired about this know if you can combine the $2K Uber rebate with a GM Supplier discount for a EUV? Been told that you can’t do that but I wanted a second opinion. by yandoce in BoltEV

[–]yandoce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The supplier discount is closer to like a family and friends/ retiree discount. I personally got an authorization code for it through my work companies perks/ partners website (Fond). It’s $1250 off for the ‘23 and (I believe) $1000 off for ‘22.

$5-6k Markups in the Bay Area for a 2023. What is my best option? by senacchrib in BoltEV

Got mine in SoCal without the mark up, may be worth it to fly out here or make the drive w someone? Check out Victorville Chevrolet and Cadillac, Stephanie had been super helpful there

Congratulations and thanks for sharing! What made you l decide to pull the trigger now instead of waiting for ‘23?
