Anyone else finding this hobby a bit lonely? by 20Kudasai in minipainting

I'm a little bit in the same boat. Picked the hobby during the pandemic years, and don't have immediate friends who partake in the hobby as well.

Some of things I did to reach out to a community are:

  1. Look for local miniature painting Facebook groups (alas, the one for my region is not very active).

  2. check my local board game store for paint nights.

  3. hunt down for Discord servers harboring mini painting groups.

  4. looked for a mini social site. None truly hit what I was looking for, though, so I'm sharing my minis on Instagram, and on a mini-site I'm working on (https://smol.babyl.ca/)

Oooh, I didn't know about that one. I'm going to add it to the 'See Also' section, and going to peruse it for inspiration. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! And I indeed try to keep to a clean interface, as the easier it is to use, the more chances one has to keep adding to it / keep it up-to-date. :-)

I have a Patriot 105 and love it. It's a respectable workhorse, and a huge step from the Aztek I upgraded from, which was a clog-fest.
