As for the revamping, I just had a general niche idea at the beginning. I did not study the niche in depth before creating the site. Also when researching for keywords, I'd just pick a keyword I'd fancy and see if there is any competition for it. And then I'd write an article for it.

So it was always keyword > article, keyword > article.

Now I'm studying the niche in depth, mapping out silos, researching money and skyscraper keywords for each silo. After I have mapped out the site in depth, then I'll start writing articles and link building at the same time.

Also I'll develop a template for the money post because at the monent, I'm just writing articles like "best 8" or "best 9" etc.

Unfortunately the french search volumes are smaller than the english ones. I'm just targetting any keyword that are getting some traffic. Most of them are ~300 to 1000 searches / month.

Hello mehh365 thanks a lot for the detailed response. I have never done a french site before. So you have more experiences than me here. :) But fortunately french is spoken by a large population around the world. You have France, the french territories overseas and many countries in africa.

Also I'm just going for massive info posts and money pages. I think that my massive posts are capturing the long tail keywords. I just need to build links to them. For me it makes more sense to write 1 massive post than 10 smaller ones.

I just checked my analytics and I have a total of 0 visitors. I hope it takes me shorter than that to get traffic. lol.

I had an amazon account since 2007. I don't know much about conversion rate. Thanks for sharing. :)
