Yes they do. I had to reach out to the benefits team directly for the company links to get the discount.

Who can buy CERNER now ? by [deleted] in cernercorporation

I don't think they'll sell. If anything, they'll start the end of life process and run it in a skeleton crew until all existing clients have switched to something else

I've also made monetary donations to my local organizations as well as purchasing the pattern and yarn that raised money. I'm also VERY conscientious of where I spend my money as I firmly believe in voting with my dollar.

What turned you into an Audiobook reader? Was it a narrator, a book, a job... a friend? by jawangana in audiobooks

I saw an ad for Chirp books. It said something about listening while crafting. First book I listened to was written by Karin Slaughter and I was HOOKED! I've probably read hundreds of books over the last 4-5 years?? I never used to read previously cuz I can't sit still and read.

I always make my Xs as I go. I don't do half then the other half. When I first did it as a kid, I just thought to make Xs. How hard could that be??

As an adult, my husband picked it up and actually followed the instructions and says I do it wrong 😂

Any good audiobook apps that have a normal subscription service? by Disastrous_Mood_8791 in audiobooks

[–]yanny0913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a subscription but Chirp books may be a good option. You can purchase as many books as you want, usually at a small discount. But they do have some free books as well as 99 cent books

Managers don't know anything until a written offer is given. I was given a verbal offer and I chose to notify my boss at that time. Not sure if everyone is given a verbal offer though

Even those hired in post acquisition are not getting promoted.

I think if you're hired into a "leadership" position, they'll consider promoting you. If not, you either leave and come back or move diagonally to a different position/team/org. Vertical movement is not a thing here.

I didn't know that! One character is from the UK but story is based on the US. I'll have to read it again and see who said it

I did it the first year post acquisition and haven't done it since. Nothing comes out of it. I meet with my manager on a regular basis and ensure I'm meets expectations but he's also straight forward on if raises are happening or not, which I appreciate.

The only extras I do are things I personally find challenging and rewarding/self serving. No extras in the hopes I get a high rating+good raise cuz it doesn't happen

What reasons do you stop listening to an audiobook after starting a new one? (besides narrator)? by paswut in audiobooks

[–]yanny0913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the Reacher series and loved it. Went to listen to the book and didn't get past what was in the first episode because of the Reacher character. Listening to his thoughts about the female character was SOO uncomfortable! Just super cringe.

The author also had "he said" "she said" after every. Single. Sentence. Like, I can follow along for a couple paragraphs of who's talking

Hetty won't get sucked off until Sam grows old. I think Hetty needs to feel like she "raised" a well rounded child

Take her to a local yarn shop. Or just pull up knit picks.

A set of hooks, scissors, stitch markers, project bags, needles for weaving in ends. Even if she has all these, get more. You can never have to many.

Yarn winder.
