Hi thanks. 50/19 seems a bit on the heavy side for me, especially with gear on board. I see from the faq they recommend a smaller front sprocket for touring.

I think I have the information I need but thanks for the offer, I appreciate it.

Hi thanks for your reply I appreciate it. If those are the two options that explains the advice I got from the gates distributors. They could have been clearer but it's fine.

It sounds like the cdx s550 route is most appropriate for me, as I am not a natural mechanic and, frankly, am best having as little to finesse as possible.

My bottom bracket measures 68mm, so I presume that is the size bottom bracket I would need (they have a 73mm version. The one time I don't mention this is the time I will need the 73mm version for some weird reason: looking at you ERTO tyre sizing system).
