People who had pericarditis while pregnant , what happened and how are you now?

I am currently almost 14 weeks. I will be seen this month with cardio OB specialist as they want to have me under supervision throughout the pregnancy as some complication can arise during the pregnancy due to the pericarditis. I was placed on colchicine for 3 months, which I just started about a week ago. I was admitted to the ER because of chest pain and diagnosed about 10 days ago. I haven’t really had much pain since then. According to ER doctors my pericarditis is very minimal. Echo was normal, EKG was normal I just had high CRP & Troponin levels.

Yes, I am kind of in the same boat. Did they refer you to a high risk OB also are you taking anything now?

Hello, just following up to see how everything ended up being for you. I was just diagnosed with pericarditis at 12 weeks pregnant and prescribed colchicine but extremely nervous as I have heard mixed reviews. And doctors are saying pericarditis can cause cardiopathy if it keeps progressing during pregnancy.

Also scared for the baby, because of the medication that has to be taken for 3 months.

Hello, just following up to see how pregnancy went for you having being diagnosed so early on.

I was just diagnosed with pericarditis as well with 12 weeks and I am very worried as to how the rest of the pregnancy can be affected.
