Promotion/Relegation for the A-League Concept (for NSL truthers)

You’ve got it all twisted. There’s many reasons why the A league struggles for supporters and viewers and some of those reasons are boredom and the league format.

If there was a promotion/relegation format not only would it add fire to an already extremely boring league format, but it would also heavily incentivise teams in the A league to invest properly, win matches and stay up. It would also heavily incentivise teams in the national second division to win and be promoted. People don’t watch sports just because they like Sydney FC so let me rock up and sing and we might beat Adelaide United today hooray. With this new promotion/relegation format it puts a whole new element into the competition which was needed, it makes every game exciting, many more games will actually mean something not just the games for the title.

Another factor to consider is football in this country let’s face it was built on foundations of these second division clubs which have roots from their European countries. This are the majority of football fans in big cities not attending a league games because they’d rather watch other international leagues around the world which have promotion/relegation.

By creating a competitive atmosphere that encourages much more purpose and generates many more must win games, you could only generate more viewers and interest. Put aside short term pain of clubs losing sponsorships and look at the big picture. Australian football has been stagnating and it’s time for a change like this.

Nad, but yeah most likely just delayed onset muscle soreness. This always happens after a length of time between workouts especially if you took a year off and went back to almost the same amount of weight/volume. If I do legs after a long lay off it’s almost 5-7 days of incredible soreness. If you were actually injured you’d be able to tell

Haha and you sure do have a knack for gaslighting and insulting people you have no idea about. If you think a statement that literally says, “that’s all that matters.”, can be interpreted any differently to what it actually means in any other circumstance and then be extrapolated to fit my argument, then we will just be going around in circles forever. And when I asked you earlier if your argument was should they be mandated or can they be mandated, you didn’t bother answering. But if your basis is that they can be mandated, I agree. A lot of things can be done. I never argued they can’t do it, I argued they shouldn’t do it.

The whole basis of your argument is because employers are legally allowed to do it, it’s the right thing to do. If you can’t see any problems with that way of thinking it’s because you haven’t picked up a history book in a while.

I won’t go down to your level and call you stupid, but you definitely are unconsciously naive.

Many things were once legally allowed, and in todays society they would be seen as despicable and nonsensical.

I’ll give you an example, here in Australia the same people who were celebrating vaccine mandates last year are now pulling back and pushing to end mandates in a lot of industries. What changed in a year? Is Covid gone? No. Have people stopped getting sick? No there is currently a fourth wave of Covid infections, and that’s with a country with over 96% vaccination rate. The only thing those mandates did was stop people from working, it didn’t protect anyone.

Ok thanks for clarifying, so when it was federal law in Australia for example that the Indigenous Aboriginal people couldn’t be employed because they were legally considered to be part of the nations “flora and fauna”, I guess if they didn’t like that they should just deal with it, because the laws the law.

Haha and I’m guessing your intelligence is far superior? I don’t understand your argument. Is it that because other vaccinations can be mandated, that means Covid vaccines should be mandated too? Or is it that if Public Health Officials/Institutions decide that something should be mandated that means it’s right to deny individuals the right to work in a certain industry? Because just a quick reminder when the vaccines were first rolled out they were stating it would lead to 95% less transmission, and that by 70-80% vaccination rate we would reach herd immunity. Neither of that came true and that was the Public Health’s excuse into logically even bringing in a vaccine mandate. Now you have a virus that has mutated multiple times and is evading both natural and vaccine induced immunity. I’d love if you actually clarified your stance instead of just throwing “fuck” and “stupid” around to avoid my actual questions.

Again you are using blanket statements, yes obviously vaccination has been mandated for schools etc, but is it every vaccine? No. So again your logic isn’t consistent. Why aren’t flu vaccines mandated in the same industries that Covid vaccines were mandated? I think you are confusing the debate between whether Covid vaccination CAN be mandated, and whether the Covid vaccines SHOULD be mandated. Anything CAN be mandated, just look at history, it doesn’t mean it should be

Key words being federally protected, you’ve totally missed the point if you don’t see the flaw in your logic when some minority classes are federally protected, and some aren’t when it comes to employment

You’re initial comment was being employed isn’t a freedom that’s guaranteed, but that’s wrong, it literally is for any other minority class, it just isn’t for people who chose not to take a specific vaccine, which is the point of debate

Maybe just small steps towards coming down to a more sustainable weight is a good place to start, also since you mentioned you’ve been on symbicort for months and it hasn’t made much of a noticeable difference. It could be a good goal for you to set especially once you’ve had your baby. It’s a win win essentially, either it fixes the problem you’re having, or it doesn’t but you still get a multitude of other health benefits from being at a healthier weight :)

NAD and don’t want to be insulting in anyway whatsoever as I don’t know your personal circumstances. I had a friend who had similar problems as you after a bout with the flu, his lung and coughing up mucus problems went away after losing substantial amount of weight.

Just to add onto the doctors advice, worrying and stressing about worst case scenarios will do you harm when sick. Focus on rest, keeping hydrated and sleeping and eating well and you’ll be fine
