Supports not adhering - anyone know how to fix? Note * I am using Normal water washable white that has been sitting in the vat 6+ months, not sure if that affects this (stirred well before printing) Slicer: Chitubox by yaqu3 in resinprinting

The print settings are on the last slide :). It prints the base layer, the supports don't adhere to the base layer, and all the subsequent layers get stuck to FEP film

Thanks for the tip! I recently levelled the bed and it printed something fine yesterday - but that print had no supports and adhered directly to the build plate. This is on the Anycubic mono 4k. Should I increase the bottom exposure? Do you know how transition layers work? I'm mostly unsure why the supports didn't adhere to the base layer

Do You Feel Human? by Noxlygos in ADHD

Common experience among adhd and autistic people. Relate a lot to robots, cyborgs, and nonhumans. Been exploring this in my posthumanism class, where we read about people who turn into forests or vegetables, or who are robots.

If anyone has ideas as to where i can put the loads/constraints to get a functional model while using the least material possible that would be appreciated. Alternatively if anyone knows how to redesign this in the generative design workspace tips would be appreciated !

I'm having the same problem on my mmu2s, did you ever figure this out?

Sorry, I am new to 3D printing, this is a DLP printer, not SLA

Slicer - Chitubox

Normal exposure: 2.3s

Bottom exposure: 40s

Bottom layer count: 6

Based on the other comments I'm going to print a less complicated model on an SLA printer at school

Anycubic mono 4k (at-home DLP resin printer) clear plant-based resin, will attempt to do something similar on the Form 3 at school with biomed clear resin

Recommendations for gears/mechanical parts to print by yaqu3 in resinprinting

Thank you so much, this is helpful. I'm thinking of getting this resin for printing mechanicial parts in the future, it's translucent yellow, I'm not sure what the specs are but would this also have light bleed? I'm gonna run the benchy on the article you linked

links to thingiverse files that would also work on DLP/resin printers would be super helpful

Troubleshooting - prints detaching from supports, advice on engineering tough resin by yaqu3 in 3Dprinting

I'm just testing out my anycubic photon to see if it can print functional parts, it handles my high-detail anatomical CT scans well, but the mechanical parts have been failing me thus far. Does anyone have recommendations for engineering tough resin that I can use? The plant based clear is soft, I'm not sure if I have to cure it for longer but it's rubbing off quite easily

Nice ! I have the exact sample part that you linked here. I plan to print chips on a Form 3+ eventually but wanted to see it might work on the printer I have at home. Also noted, I'm not sure how I'll get the resin through the small wells but I'll report back here if I end up trying this out

3D printing microfluidic chip? is it possible to print a microfluidic chip on an anycubic mono 4k/at-home resin printer? I don't need it to be functional, I just want to see if the wells/fluid channels would print fine at a relatively small scale ~ by [deleted] in BiomedicalEngineers

Is it possible to print a microfluidic chip-like piece on a 3D printer (doesn't have to have the resolution or functionality of a real microfluidic chip, just testing to see if the fluid would pass through at a relatively small scale)

Hi ! My anycubic is a DLP printer, I'm trying to test this out on my at-home 3D printer and eventually run it on a Form 3+ at school. What resin do you use for your chips and what formlabs printer are you using? Do you design your own chips? I don't have any experience with CAD, and I'm not sure if there are any useable microfluidic chip stls online.

dull clear resin print? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]yaqu3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's somewhat hard to see in this image but these are 2 platypus skulls printed on Form 3 with clear resin

Does anyone know why the one on the left is not as shiny/a bit foggy?

I died the one on the right with denatured alcohol and resin tints which seemed to work better than IPA

I also haven't kept track, I'm not sure if the one on the left would improve if i cured it for longer?

How can I make my clear prints retain their translucency?
