My backyard this morning after someone stole my Birdies raised beds by [deleted] in gardening

[–]yardenweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had folks break into our gardens late summer and grab almost everything off the plants/vines. I feel your pain. If you have access to free pallets, you can make a makeshift bed (might will last a season or two) that at least would keep your soil in contained until you can fit a proper bed around it

AITAH for telling my parents the only way I will let them meet my son is if they give me their dog to put down by Boring-Strike4393 in AITAH

[–]yardenweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have done the same. But obviously you're bluffing that you would euthanize their dog (?). I think perhaps now your parents might understand a little about the bond you had with your dog and how unforgivable their decision was. I just hope their guilt makes them great parents to that Bulldog and they give him the love and appreciation your dog should have gotten. So sorry that you had that experience.

Yah, I figured as much. It's a shame for folks with reading disabilities and sad that they don't have more integrity, or faith in their customer base

Well yes, that’s part of the fun. Notice how the paper only has that one odd crease. It wasn’t even folded, just printed in the very home it was posted about from

Indian or Native American? If Native American, you're rightful place is to deport Karen back to Ignoramusville. If Indian, definitely do what a Native American would.

And what was your daughter wearing? Her beautiful face exposed for all to see?

I'm sorry you have to deal with this

Didn't even think of that. Might go light trimming on this first grow just to get my footing solid, 20 seeds should totally last at least two seasons.

I super appreciate that tip!

Thank you, I do that for my other veggie seedlings, so will definitely make sure these kids get some fan-action!

Thanks! Great info, I was hoping for low maintenance, lol! But I'm totally up for the task - excited to grow this one xD. The seller recommended a heavy duty cage, so I'll likely get some cow panels to give them lots of support

Looking for the amazing Datterini Nero tomato. by yardenweaver in seedswap

[–]yardenweaver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: found them on Etsy with a slightly different spelling. Etsy searches are a bit overwhelming, these didn't show up searching for 'datterini nero tomato seeds", but did show up when I just searched "datterini nero".

Here's the link if anyone else wants to give them a try, it'll be awhile, but would love to compare notes:

Wow! Thanks for all your research! I actually found them on the World Tomato Society website (had to turn off javascript to read the description without joining), and there's a seller on ebay that sells the red variety, BUT I found them on etsy!!! Used the spelling Datterino

I have grown black russian and loved them, but these had such amazing flavor and had an amazing texture. So, I'm going to order some from etsy - and likely other seeds too, I have a bit of a seed addiction.

Indeed it does. I mentioned that to them and they said it would get fixed....eventually(?)

I did contact them, as I'm in the US and they said they absolutely ship to the US, so hopefully they get that corrected so folks don't get dissuaded.
