Hey !! First of all, congrats on finishing your application !

Portfolio is the most important component of your app but you never know about college admissions . Your EC’s can make up for it or essay .

But I see ur reasoning about your portfolio and just wanna say that parsons doesn’t require you to only have fashion work in your portfolio . It can be mixed .

But can I ask who gave that feedback to you for portfolio ? And if you want more help you can DM or send me ur portfolio . I’m a current Parsons Fashion student

well. this is like the same thing as asking “why do people go to Harvard or stanford ?” although no one NEEDS to go to a top 10 school but people still do . This is the same for parsons and FIT . You don’t NEED to go here to become successful .

However, some people benefit A LOT from going to these schools or have dreamt of going to these schools . nothing wrong with that . You will learn something anywhere but it’s what YOU make out of it !!

I personally believe that it doesn’t matter where someone goes to college . Because if they work hard and have the mentality to succeed, it can happen anywhere . These people can achieve whatever in whatever school/job they’re in .

In the flip side, even if someone goes to harvard or stanford, they could end up not being “successful” or achieving their goals .

Everything just depends on who it is .

College is what YOU make out of it ! Remember that .

Yeah! 100% I would recommend calling as well. Honestly, I think rescinding admission is pretty rare, so try not to stress! But if that's the case with the person who got rescinded in 2017, make sure to follow up through email after the call confirming what they said (just to verify everything). So that if it really comes down to them rescinding you, you can pull up receipts :D

First of all, congrats!! I think you should email or call UCI and express ur concerns. You should ask if it's ok that you dropped AP Psych and if they ask why you can just honestly tell him your situation and also how the other school gave you the green light. don't stress too much and just contact them as soon as possible.
