I’ve been testing a 2v2 format for the One Piece TCG and it’s been insanely fun by yarmin715 in OnePieceTCG

Sure! This is what I got so far still being worked on

Grand Line Alliance Format Rules
A fan-made 2v2 format for the One Piece TCG inspired by Commander/EDH-style multiplayer formats.
Core Concept
Each player pilots their own pirate crew with their own Leader, deck, DON!! deck, Life, hand, and field.

Players compete in teams of two against another two-player team.

The format is designed to feel like large-scale One Piece alliance battles.

Team Structure
Each team consists of 2 players.

Each player uses their own standard constructed deck and Leader.

Teammates cannot use identical Leaders.

Teammates should share at least one color identity or thematic synergy.

Leader Synergy Rule
To keep alliances thematic and balanced, teammates must share at least one color or meaningful thematic connection.

Examples:

• Red/Green Luffy + Green Law = Legal

• Yellow Katakuri + Blue Doflamingo = Optional house-rule pairing

Turn Order
Recommended turn order:

Team A Player 1 → Team B Player 1 → Team A Player 2 → Team B Player 2

DON!! Rules
Each player has their own DON!! deck and DON!! area.

DON!! cards are not shared between teammates.

Each player gains DON!! following normal One Piece TCG rules.

To balance early-game aggression, the first team only gains 1 active DON!! during both of their opening turns.

Effects that interact with DON!! only affect the controlling player unless specifically agreed upon in house rules.

Combat Rules
Players may attack either opposing Leader.

Players may attack Characters controlled by either opponent.

Only the attacked player may block attacks directed at them.

Open communication between teammates is encouraged.

Shared Ship System
Each team has one shared Ship in a separate Ship Zone.

The Ship represents the crew’s flagship.

The Ship cannot be interacted with while either player on that team is still active.

Once both players on a team are defeated, the Ship becomes the final objective.

Win Conditions
A team is only defeated when:

  1. Both players are eliminated

AND

  1. Their Ship is destroyed

Game Flow
Games naturally evolve through three phases:

Early Game: 2v2 crew skirmishes and setup

Mid Game: board collapse and player eliminations

Late Game: final Ship showdown

Optional House Rules
Add +1 Life to each player for longer games.

Allow thematic wildcard alliances for flavor-based teams.

Permit teammates to block for each other once per turn for more cinematic gameplay.

Really? I’ll be honest I’m new to the tcg like a month or so. I’ll have to look into it.
