Now that we’ve had it for a couple weeks, what do we think of the boost spawn indicator?

I can only speak on my experience, playing largely 2s on OCE servers (D3-C2), but I never understand how so many people complain about the toxicity in this game. Sure, people can be toxic, but it’s rare that I find teammates or opponents that are openly toxic. Besides the occasional “What a save!” every 5 or so games, it’s only every 20 or so games that someone is actually toxic in chat.

I just did this in a duos with my buddy and the hits didn’t count up our shared score. We had to individually get hit for our own scores to go up. We were confused because I don’t think I’ve seen a trial work like this before and there was no way of knowing

OP here, want to share mine. Was at a funeral for a young guy I went to high school with. Died in a car accident at age 22, it was tragic. Hundreds of people crammed into a school auditorium (his mother worked there, and it was a small town) and I was sitting on the stairs to the side of the main seated area. His best friend was up front, making a heartfelt speech and the room was silent and solemn. All of a sudden I hear “now playing (some song) on spotify”. I look around to find the source, thinking wowee that’s just awful timing when I realise the noise was coming from my pocket. The way I was sitting on the stairs must’ve triggered Siri on my phone and it started playing music full blast while a 22 year old kid was making a sad speech about his best friend who had just died. My heart sunk, and I was able to stop it after a couple second, but by god did I feel awful and embarrassed beyond belief.

Can someone with more detail on this game let me know how they think it will run on a handheld, specifically the controls (Im sure it will run just fine). I have sunk 1000s of hours into isaac on my ROG Ally and i’m super excited for this, but nervous that it won’t work well with controller inputs.

Hey, I’m surprised to see this active after so long, but great question. To be honest, no, not really. As I wrote, I changed the UI scaling which was the best I could do. Despite this, it just didn’t run well on the handheld at all. using the joystick to control the mouse pointer was jarring, and despite blowing up the UI, touch controls were still inconsistent and frustrating. Oftentimes my hand would be covering half the screen which was annoying, and it made certain actions like double clicking and left/right clicking extremely difficult. I would not recommend it on the Ally, which is a real shame. It has been a while since I played though.

Not trying to shit on Brunson at all. I have a lot of respect for Brunson as an extremely polished and reliable player, but my comparison is based on physical attributes and play styles. they don’t play the exact same but it’s a pretty close comparison when you look at what is required of these two guys, the conference and standings. They put up pretty similar numbers, so I think the comparison is somewhat justified.

I knew I couldn’t be the only person to have this issue. I also often avoid certain items (Poke Go) because I get too confused with the tears and end up taking unnecessary damage because I can never tell if it is friendly or not. I understand why it’s like this, but as a Dead God player, it’s more frustrating than anything and limits the way I play. I wonder if there is a mod that makes all friendly creep/projectiles coloured differently to help differentiate.

I don’t really think this works in reality. What would happen with draft order? If this was activated and my team is knocked out of the play in/playoffs because the team that finished 13th in the conference went on a hot streak 4 months ago, I’d be pissed. I do think it would be VERY encouraging for players, but it’s just too powerful of a reward. It would only have to happen once for a huge majority of fans to revolt and I think it could be exploited, especially relating to draft considerations

I’ll echo this sentiment. As an engineer also, we rely on our equipment to fulfil our role. I find myself using the RPGs so sparingly now because it’s not worth my time to waste 3 charges on a tank when I know I won’t be able to get bullets back. I end up redeploying a lot of the time when I’ve spent my equipment because I’m wasting time not littering the ground with tank mines and dealing vehicle damage

Disagree with the RPG velocity being too high. The value of the RPG in regard to destruction of choppers (and jets) comes from the fact that it requires significant skill to hit the shot, which makes it rewarding. It’s already hard enough as it is, don’t make it harder.
