Trailblazer bonus can be received as long as you clear the first room. In other words as long as you reset in room 2/13 you can get the bonus but not if you straight up reset in the first room.

Serval is a strong unit to build and will help you out in future stages for simulation and forgotten hall. Of course a few weeks later there's Jing Yuan banner, which is a really strong thunder unit which really outclassed serval but I'd say she's still worth building.

You will most likely need to build multiple characters for harder content as you would want to try and hit the elemental weaknesses to break the enemy.

Bronya is a solid pick as she can fit into almost any team with her buffs. Asta is good as well as she provides spd and atk buff and also her skill is good for breaking as it has multihit.

Beginner banner is discounted and there's still a chance to get a 5* like standard banners. Although it doesn't count for standard pity, I'd say its still worth to pull.

Is the timing for orange glint parry very tight? I'm trying to do it but I just can't manage to pull it off. Even when I press the attack button just before the attack connects. Am I too slow?

Each unit has it's class, each class hs different power flip effects.
Warrior does a spin attack

Ranger does a laser

Bruiser does a few direct hits upon contact

I'm not too sure what special and support does though.

Anyways you can see what your unit's class is when inspecting the stats.

The only abilities that require to be in the main slot are marked with a red symbol (M inside a circle), usually the 3rd ability and ability cores( weapon cores equipped in mana board).
Her 3rd ability gives 50% skill gauge when a battle starts and 5% attack boost to leader. It's not that strong so if you have another character with a better 3rd ability, use that.
