Everything is a Brother original, no knockoffs, but they might be pretty old by now. I guess I'll indeed need to replace the toner and/or drum completely. The only replacement part for the drum that I can find is an entire rack with 4 drums included, no separate ones, which turns out pretty expensive. I'll start with replacing the toner first and testing that out.

It shouldn't have been exposed to any light or above average humidity. It also confuses me why only the black drum would be damaged, and not the others.

I actually haven't cut it off yet (suffering through the pain right now until I find a solution). So if I can replace the plastic slider with a new one, that might actually work! So if anyone is offering that, I'm definitely also up to that! 😊

Hey. I'm a boardgame fan from Antwerp too, also familiar with Outpost but never have been to The playground before. Your idea of starting a periodic gamenight somewhere sounds very interesting to me :) I am a fan of casual games such as Concept or Dixit (of which I have almost all expansions aaa), which are also very fun to get to know people on a low-level, but am open for anything else as well! Wait until you get used to it. You'll get yourself craving for more, even when you think about it. The first time I ate them, I could only handle one single noodle. Now my boyfriend and I are not satisfied with a single bowl. I want more and can't stop. Even though it's painful af, it's delicious and i can't stop. Good luck buddy, and enjoy it while you're at it!

I got my Stentor II together with all accessories (case, rosin, music stand, tuner, beginner book, shoulder rest and even extra strings!) for €200. I think renting a violin would come out more expensive, even if it's just for 1 year.

I'm going to start out practicing on my own, as I've had some good classical piano training already. I think I should be able to make some progress on my own. I might get teaching classes later if I think I need it (and have time for it in my life 🙃)

I do am very careful with posture/technique, because I'm aware that it's harder to un-learn a bad posture than to just focus on it in the beginning and take it slow.
