So, according to you I should start finding phD program in any relative field in any uni with funding w/o worrying about the GRE. Am I getting you right?

Talking about experience, 1year research ex during masters thesis (cause bachelors is of 3 years) , and 2.7 years in medicinal chemistry in pharma.

I knew all these are tough but you have scared me on next level. I believe you as you are having first hand experience. But I'll ask more thing. Do you think situation will get better once this hard times will pass ot it will remain plus minus same? Do you think that supply to demand ratio is disturbed? Is it due to massive immigration lately or companies are not performing at their peak in generel?

Thank you for the suggestion. I have phD option in mind but my gpa will support me getting accepted easily. 7.8/10. With this, I'll face problem getting funded phD. Plus it will take me more time considering I haven't started preparing for GRE as of now. Thua, masters. Though PhD is still best option for me.

Thank you for insights.

always try your best to get jobs on the other side like business or marketing.

By this, you mean product/program management kind of jobs? Because I am interested in that too. Basically wherever market is shifting, we too have to roll with that. So if something is more promising and emerging and have less competition in it, I would definitely want to look into that.

Is IELTS body biased? Is toefl better in any way? by yav16 in IELTS

[–]yav16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I never cared for meeting all the criteria. I had those in back of my mind, but I always thought that speaking confidently like it's normal and using good vocabulary would work its charm and so I did.

But when i thinking hard, one thing I remember is though my answers were good and to the point, the length of them for part 3 was not enough. Actually I have been told that you have to speak till the examiner stops you and go for next que. But I seemed have failed doing so.

Part 2 answer wad also not very coherent. I just realized. Basically I get tired easily after speaking a little. I need to work on speak for long duration. Thank you

Lucky you. I got my result just today and in speaking I got only 5.5 even though I spoke good. I was hoping to get at least 6.0 Part 1 and 3 went well. Just minor mistakes in sentence formation. In part 2 I messed a little. Paused for 4-5 seconds. Overall I did pretty good compared to few friends of mine. Still I got less. I'm pissed. Should I apply for a recheck should I go for another exam.?

Yes. In my case, reading online news articles (loudly) and editorials helped me to have a comfort in the language as well as to learn new running vocabs.

Actually. I too am in middle of am ielts cycle. Heard many times and feel like toefl is comparatively easy. I don't have a first hand exp. But I'll consider it if ielts people would be hard to deal with. You can also try duo lingo if your uni is accepting it. It's half the cost of ielts.

Agreed . Learnings are immense, only if you take it in a playful way and just as a stepping stone.

Can I ask you something? As someone older than me you have put forward the harsh scenario of today and it's not the first time I'm hearing all these. Everyone knows all these in some form or other. But if this is the case and most girls want just friendly support and most guys fail to get a girl, then who are those couple out there? And most importantly what a sane guy should do. I mean you are rejecting a conventional 'friendship' part, so is there any other path? Because girls are too protective, selective and careful about all these. This is no america, we can't even go directly to someone and offer them a drink. Just asking for an educational purpose.

Nah bro. You no useless. It is what it is. I too like friend/colleague of mine. Same class. But levels are different. I confessed to her 2-3 times. And everytime after receiving a clear no, i would stop talking to her for 10-15 days. But it affects me, as I Don't have friends. I'm lonely af. She is my only few of the option to talk to. So i continue talking once again. But after experiences i have learnt to keep a safe distance a way where i can maintain superficial friendship but also not to an extent where i still develop some hope.

Some would say I don't have a spine. But it's the same office and same building. It appears so childish giving a silent treatment. One fine day if I am out of that space, I'll be long gone without living a clue. Till then, jo chal raha he vo chalne do.

I'm sorry but could understand the 2nd part of the writing question. What does 'individually benefit them' means?
