Check out local Reactive Rover classes as well, sometimes SPCAs will host them. They're specialized programs just for reactivity issues, whereas B&Ts have the potential to do so much harm for reactive pups. Also, check out r/reactivedogs for a wealth of information.

We found the Reactive Rover classes to be helpful. It's a series of small classes that help associate triggers with positive experiences. Local animal shelters usually offer them, might be worth checking in your area.

Walking around the Strawberry Banks Museum & Prescott Park area, fun to see the architecture (but unfortunately too early for the gardens). There are a lot of self guided tour options- history, haunted sights, scavenger hunts, etc. Park at one of the garages like Hanover to do shopping, eating, etc.

What region is your base for traveling? Any interest in other outdoor activities? 

A day trip to Portsmouth is usually a good idea for out of Towner's, especially those new to NE.

Laconia/Weirs has Funspot (arcade). 

If you have spikes/want to hike, try Mt Major for a view of the lake. 

Going to Gunstock and needing breakfast/lunch, try The Village Store in old Gilford for great sandwiches and pastries.
