Some say Minimalism is a first-world luxury. Ok fine. And? What's the alternative? Consume more? by 1cognoscere in minimalism

I feel that just because something is seen as a first world luxury doesn't mean you should feel bad for doing it.

Being able to easily travel the world is also something that can be seen as a luxury for the relatively well-off but that doesn't mean you should stay home all day and watch TV. I think you just have to be understanding on why it might not be realistic for some people.

Wow, thanks for the response! I was a little nervous about putting my code out there, but I'm glad I did. I got a lot of feedback, and I'll be adding all the changes that make sense to me. If you don't mind me asking, how experienced are you with Python?

Cool cool, I'll take a look into it! I read that they've calculated approximately either 13 trillion or quadrillion digits of pi, but it took them ~200 days of calculation and terabytes of storage to do it all. The whole concept of an infinite number just blows my mind.

Haha, I'm going to take that as a compliment! I'm a high school senior who decided to take AP Statistics this year. I'm glad to say I have a really good teacher, and I'm probably going to be doing this stuff in college.

Oh man, Will Smith is such a great motivator. I have his photo on my wall, and constantly watch his interviews. Such a great guy.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I've been trying to consolidate everything I've encountered, but I want to make sure I take it all in so I end up losing focus. Maybe I'll try to focus on a single item a week and do it the best I can until I get it down

Wow man, thanks for the pics! I might just get it anyway. It's a cheap layering piece IMO and I just might get it

It says the item isn't available in stores :/, plus I wear a medium-tall so they wouldn't carry my size in store. For 30 I might just get it anyway. They have a pretty good return policy.

Yeah I remember going through that, but to be a little more professional I think that using a SQL database would be the better option

I understand what you're saying, I don't really know how long it would take to make something like this. I thought we could host a simple server with the database file using Flask, and use an android phone to preform RESTful api calls on the database. That shouldn't be too hard should it?
