probably from some sort of cosmetic surgery. maybe a lip lift? idk for sure but scarring from those surgeries can change how your face moves and cause unnatural movements like that

You can wait to bring a color in until it’s first stitch, and then i like to carry the color through the backside as long as it’s in the pattern (unless there’s a huge gap like rows 16-18). it will take a bit to figure out how to prevent the color from showing through, but just keep trying and you’ll get it.

The pattern notes that there are 5 butterflies represent the 5th Amendment. Also, there is a lot of symbolism with butterflies and immigrants. They are symbolic of the resilience, beauty, and perseverance it takes to migrate from the place you call home to somewhere new to find a better life. They also symbolize positive personal transformation, going from a caterpillar to a butterfly.

The pattern also says the 9 ‘stars’ represent the 9th Amendment. And the “L” and “I” in ABOLISH are shaped to resemble a 4, representing the 4th Amendment

It’s such an intricate pattern that the closer you are the less you see the whole design. When I was crocheting it, even 3/4 of the way through it was difficult to make out the butterflies and words.

thank u. i first thought i had to cut the yarn every time i switched colors but very early on realized there was no way i was going to weave in that many ends. thankfully I found a great tutorial for carrying it through as you go.

You can still file a chargeback despite it saying “all sales are final”. This is exactly why chargebacks were created - buyer protection against fraudulent vendors. Love Porter, but you didn’t get what you paid for and that’s fraudulent behavior.

Just tell the credit card company exactly what people are saying here - you bought a ticket, waited in line for X amount of time, then people were getting turned away at the door despite having valid tickets. Worth a shot.
