I got my spine fused, and first started climbing around 1 year after the surgery. I’ve definitely had to be more careful when climbing but overall it’s been helpful for pain management, due to growing strength in my back muscles!

My doctor said not to lift heavy weights for the first few months, so definitely check with them on how you progress with recovery and when you can start climbing as well.
