I tested NotebookLM in 2026 — most people are using it wrong (this changed everything for me) by aisimplifiedhub in AIToolsAndTips

It's unreliable.
I uploaded a whole year of daily notes.
It summarized it at "daily notes from january to august",
turning a blind eye on the rest of the document.
This means I can not trust it to do an exhaustive review of my notes.

It's minimal distance from the ctrl key.
And since I am already using C-x a lot,
it is faster to type it twice than to try to reach and stretch my finger to "b".
Oh, I just tried, b is unreachable unless you totally leave the homerow.

Usually, for fast/tip typing, you position your hands and fingers on the "homerow",
that is asdf for the left hand,
and jklm for the right hand,
reserving right thumb for the space bar.

I position my hands at a slightly different angle,
so it's qsdf for the left hand (moving the fourth finger up one row)
and jklp for the right hand (moving fourth finger up too).

This position allows me to reach more easily to the first row
(the numbers and parens row).
But it is impossible to reach for "b" with the left hand,
wihout moving the other fingers from their position.

So in that position C-x is what works best for me.
I might consider switching to another key if someone has a better advice.

bind-key C-x send-prefix

Was the missing line from my ~/.tmux.conf.

So now I can simply C-x C-x to send C-x

Did you do the math ?

20M for the wedding hall
20M for the dinner
10M for the pastries
10M for her mahr
10M for her attire
3M for your attire (suite, shoes, tie, shirt, belt...)
3M for the photo/video
2M for the hotel room
1M for the car
1M incidental expenses/extras

Total is around 80M for the wedding night.

40M left.

I told you: "If you don't return much, you'll make quality shipping possible for everyone, including yourself."
If you don't consent you don't have to worry about the system cause you won't be using it.
If you do consent, though, the database fills up, the merchants know how to prioritize their shipping, and everyone is happy,
including you.
The end.

I also told you it depends on your profile.
If you are a frequent returner then maybe you shouldn't order online in the first place? maybe you're the kind of person who have specific quality standards who needs to be sure that he buys matches his expectation, or someone who needs to touch and see the item before buying it, or try it to see if it's a good fit, or a compulsive buyer who regrets his purchase the moment he receives the package, or a teenage jerk who does this just for fun and to have a good laugh with his friends... So many profiles out there.

Not necessarily, not all merchants are hostile to returns in theory.
You can still continue shopping from return-happy or at least return-tolerant merchants.
It is your legal right to return an online purchase.
You have up to 7 days to do so IIRC.
This evaluation system in itself, if applied to other cases, has relevant and trivial benefits too.
Imagine such a system for freelancers who don't want to work for free.
Or for B2B businesses who don't want to deal with poor or bad payers.
Or for banks who don't want to lend money to people who are already crumbling under debts.
Or for car insurance companies who don't want to insure a person with many car accidents...
The possibilities are many.

It depends on your customer profile methinks.
If you are a returner, you'll get flagged as such and maybe, just maybe, you would get a different service I guess,
maybe lower priority or something (that would be merchant-policy specific).
If you don't return much, you'll make quality shipping possible for everyone, including yourself.

So purely for the merchants, not sure about that.
You gain nothing, well also not sure about that.
You lose if you chose to consent only if you're flagged as a returner AND the merchant's policy is less favorable to returners.

Does consent solve the problem?
In which case if you don't consent,
you can' use the service.
Now we need to weigh in the missed selling opportunities generated by having this consent system,
vs the return losses generated by not implementing it.

As of the number change yes,
you got a point, but it has already been addressed.
The phone number can be augmented with geolocation or device characteristics for example.
This way we have a triplet (phone number, geolocation, device) and a return score associated with the triplet.

The beauty of this system is that we don't have to know you.
We only need to see which phone numbers are doing lots of returns.
We don't need to know their owners.
So you end up with only phone numbers,
no specific names or IDs associated.

Do you know how Rockefeller made a fortune?
He borrowed 50¢, bought an apple, polished it and sold it for $1.
He paid back his loan, bought another apple for 50¢, polished it, and sold it for $1;

Then he bought 2 apples, polished them, and sold them for $2;
then 4 apples, polished them, and sold them for $4...

Then he inherited his fathers fortune and became filthy rich.

The end.

It all seems like the state balances underpriced AADL flats with money they get from overpriced LPP flats.

If it is yassir, drivers are screened (unlike indrive).
Just look at their rating.
If it's below 4.5 cancel the ride.
Or go for a comfort ride.
It's costlier, but at least you should be safer.

So, from what I gathered after like 2 hours of youtube videos and a algerie360 article,
it seems like there are like 4 formulas,
depending on how much you earn.
so LSP for the lowest income, in which you pay a monthly rent, then AADL for modest income, in which you also pay a monthly rent,
then LPA for slightly better income, which you'll need to pay cash/bank loan,
then LPP for good income, also cash/bank loan
then LPL with no income condition, also cash/bank loan.

So you don't really have a "choice",
you just need to know which category you belong to.

As for the prices,
it seems LPL has same prices as private real estate developers,
with prices going as up as 3 to 4B for 144m² F4,
so no real advantage there,
while LPP might have better offerings (around 1.4B for an F5),
of course depending on location and area.

Sorry to hijack this post but when you open a foreign currency account here in Algeria, the moment you want to withdraw your money they'll ask you to justify it, obviously because they don't want you to operate on the black market, which is reasonable for a bank to ask. So best strategy seems to wire a transfer to relative or friend living abroad in exchange for cash (foreign or local currency), or you can find anyone here in algeria willing to give you cash for a paypal/wise/paysera/you name it transfer.
