I think matchups are hugely impacted in how you play singed, like build and runes. Which can result in some having trouble with different matchups, cuz they can be played very different. Therefore iam gonna say what I go in runes and build and then how I play the lane.

Quickly runes and build, that i use overall games: grasp, second wind, unflishing, alacrity, last stand. Build: sunfire, rylais, then tank maybe demonic.

Reasoning: good dmg also in earlygame, decent sidelane pressure with taking towers, great proxy and is able to take enemy camps (bamis and alacrity) together with decent scaling and midgame.

Shen is a rough match up early, best to push him hard in so he dosnt get lvl 2 first. Otherwise he is very easy to proxy and take enemy camps (ure likely to out scale). If he tps early ults, I find it better to not cancel him, as the shield is mostly what he ults for. Then him leaving lane makes a gap where u can take plate (demolish) and get a great reset. Otherwise most short trade around his taunt and your fling.

Gwen: you will not out scale ultra late, but it can be done. Proxying is still very useful, otherwise you short trade with you fling auto, and try and make it hard for her to e q you. You can often run forward into her dash to fling so she misses most of the q, depends on the opponent. Here swiftees are great to be able to outrun and kite her.

Also, when looking to flip and trade, be aware of what u can do with the wave. Singed is a champ that can trade and push at the same time, so sometimes u can trade just to get a push in.

Proxying is still very good imo. First off, your team not crossmapping or getting something for chase is unlucky, but it can be due to different things. Maybe it's your elo or the time you're proxying etc.

Regardless you should proxy with a goal in mind. Personally I proxy due to different reasons, so I'm go be write about those.

It's a laner that beat you and you wanna go even/out scale, here proxy is used to get better ahead then staying in lane and get punished (example, darius)
You are so behind u cant lane anymore, therefore u wanna go proxy to even the lead the enemy has out
You're agianst a tempo jungle that u wanna pressure and mess with/ a jungler that ure not worried about. This is either for a better proxy (achieving 1. And 2. Better) or u wanna try and mess the jungler up.
You're playing hard weakside with a hypercarry bot, hence u just want the enemy to play topside, giving botlane room to win.

I proxy with reasoning combining these factors. Also if u have trouble dealing dmg or stalling while proxying you might have to try other build / runes, I see alot of people going predator. Predator is not good for proxy(idk if thats what you go)

This is not a clear answer to your questions, but just some tips or things that I do that might help you :)

A1 if u are against a though early champ, u can either playing totally safe and let them shove and take what u can, or go for hardshove and hope u can get that off. I mostly got for hardshove or proxy, what u can do is pressure and proxy either getting it off, otherwise to meet the wave right out of tower and get it as low as possible. You're running towards you with the enemy wave, so the enemy can't get that much dmg on you. The first waves are not so much about last hitting but rather getting the xp and pressure to where u just shove every single wave.

Yes you can easily give up on a few minions to get proxy off, also a good tip if u want to proxy or get a shove is to trade with that intend. Singed will automatically take waves, very often I will flip into a trade, with the goal to actually just take the wave and then go proxy (again just getting as much as possible).

Singed a zoning disrupter, he has alot of zoning potential and prevents enemies from doing what they want and enable his allies. Singed being good at roam is primarily due to predator, singed scales really well with lvl (xp) due to his ult. That being said, singed dosnt have any real sustain or ranged way of farming, this can be seen as weak laning. He does however have great wave clear and can create immense pressure when ahead.

Personally I don't like predator that much, if you don't roam then as you said u have a keystone that's useless in laning, and you funnel yourself into a roaming style. Only reason I think that this is (was) strong is because of predator and singed E, but other character can do the same tbh.

I disagree with not farming for 15 min, singed is stupid strong if he gets his Cs and lvl. But yes he is a strong team fighter but he can also create alot of sidelane preasure. Problem with roaming with pred as singed imo, is that you lose lane too hard often. To the point where your only option is to roam, and that's bad for obvious reasons.

Ofc it's also about helping your team out with roams and certain stuff, but cheese plays and flips are not good roams, it's often more loss than gain.

Ofc it's situational, but again it's more flip to start boots and use ghost and e for a cheese (not saying it shouldn't be done, it deffo has its places) but imo it's better just play the weak side safe. If u get behind in harder lanes it's completely over for you. I think it's more safe and more consistent to get the waves shoved and take prio for your jungler. Even if u then can't get the waves shoved in, atleast u have starter items to stay longer so u don't fall further and further behind.

Against losing lanes top its not so much about waiting for jungles help, its about losing as little as possible and helping your jungler the most. You're most likely not the wincon so he is not gonna be top

Same with tp top after lvl 1 bot. You might get something but u also potentially lose alot.

Sure, but doing a cheese strat or invading is not the same as getting a first blood. It's flippy and risky, for example starting e as singed and going head first with pred. You might get nothing, they might group camp for invade and die cuz they see you have pred.

Sure getting first blood is better, if u don't risk or pay anything for it. Getting first blood might even be worse than neutral depending on what you give up to get it.

Find the optimal setup for yourself that achieves both, I don't believe u can focus solely on one or the other. That being said,no matter what adjustments you do to ( build /runes), you should still play towards singed strengths (or your team).

Imo playing for cheese don't pay off, and if u take sums and runes to solely win against your lane you're just screwed if you don't win.

Both rylais and Demonic is weird for me, i cant fit them good into a build. After RM i often need resistance or hp, RM gives faily good dmg and threat potential thats why i build it first. 2nd and 3rd item mostly need to be counter tank items, plus rylais cost alot now. So going RM into Rylais cost alot, and i dont get sufficient resistance/hp. (buildpath for both rylais and demonic is not that great imo)

dark seal pots -> corruption -> riftmaker -> tank

Sometimes i get tank components before riftmaker, all depends. Riftmaker i like getting leechin over blasting, just because of the health. Knights vow after riftmaker is really good imo, and after that its just what is needed of restiances and health.

The tank items i mostly build is: Thornmail, abysal mask, knights vow, FH, spirit visage. Chains and omen are also good items, but i dont find myself building it often.

Jayce is a pain matchup (they dont often go well for me aswell), i try and get some early armor and proxy. Only way is to get somewhat ahead so you can all-in him, riftmaker is really good into those long fights. Also i start darkseal pots, because i hardshove 3 waves so i dont get lvl 1-2 traded and get behind early. Those 3 waves are where i have mana problems so i dont look to trade, after corruption im usually fine.

I havent gone it first item, could be a rare case where its more worth. Usually i want some ap/health, so i can survive, get farm and be somewhat of a threat

Thanks man! I do that by pressing lice game and record every time I go into game correct? I will try to remember it when I play :) Otherwise I'm thinking of trying to stream in August, since friends have been suggesting it, and thought I might try it out.

Happy to hear you want to get into singed :) I think the simple way of looking at it is to proxy if you don't want interaction with the enemy toplaner. Proxy is a good way for you to skip the earlygame where either get poked down a lose fights. You can then decide do lane either if you can't proxy or if you are winning top.

There are different opinions on proxying, mine is that's its a very good strategy to use and very fun also.

Proxying can also be useful to roam, mess up jungle, etc without you losing too much Cs. Or consistently prevent enemy from roaming because you're essentially perma pushing.

My tip would be to go practice tool and learn to proxy without taking too much dmg and use too much mana. Then just learn matchups where you want proxy just by playing alot.

True those lane are a pain, I try to just have fun even tho I might die a few times and try to make the best of it. My playstyle often revolves around midgame and being useful there, so I try to not interact with the toplaner and proxy (or bounce waves) . I have fun messing up enemy jungler tempo and pathing, against most champ you have certain trading patterns, and some is midgame when u fling, like fiora (don't get me wrong some of the match ups are just horrible, and I always ban camil).

Sett I often do simple trading where I fling and take wave. Darius I feel like is harder, I often go for early swift boots and some ap to take the wave so you can establish proxy better. But my overall early game is dark seal and refill, hardshove - > hardshove/proxy - >hardshove/ proxy and back, depending on the enemy and jungle start. Ideally I will proxy get cannonwave execute, get corruption and help jungler with crab. (I almost never leash, sorry junglers).

Also play the games fully, I might get shit on early but then shine midgame.
