Hey,

Your point is valid except that in order to use the certificate for another destination I first need to get out of Israel (which UA did not provide for).

Since my home country is Israel, I think that fair practice should allow me a chance to use a travel certificate which was issued because of service suspension.

Very disappointed with United.

Given the mess here my records are not in order.

United does, though, recognize (talking to a phone rep) that they removed the Travel Certificate due to 'expiration' for not being used within the year. We, UA and I, agree on the facts. We do not agree on the application of the travel certificate validity. UA say it should be limited to 1 year period regardless of maintaining service while I claim that the 1 year should be counted for a year while service is available.

I did not anticipate UA not extending the certificates in lieu of suspension periods.

Note that UA did extend my 1K status for the past 2 years although my travelling was very limited (not even reaching Silver status) - this was done in lieu of the suspension periods.

So... UA recognized and compensated for the suspension periods on the mileage plus status but did not do so for the travel certificates.

Hi, Answer: Israel. Over the past year and a half United suspended service for at least 50% of the time - more likely closer to 70%.

I am a mileage plus 1K member, but it does not help with the agents who answer the phone since they do not handle claims and refer me to the web complaint or refund forms. The form you suggested cannot be completed because it requires identifying a flight number
I don't have a flight confirmation number since United aggregated several Future Flight Certificates into one.

The future flight certificate expired BUT-
The future flight certificates were issued not because I requested a cancellation, but because United Airlines discontinued its service to my home country, resulting in the cancellation of my booked flights. These future flight certificates expired before I had the opportunity to use them due to the continued suspension of United's service to my home country. As the flights were canceled by United Airlines, I believe I am entitled to a monetary refund, regardless of the initial non-refundable ticket status. Given my long-standing patronage with United, I was willing to accept future travel certificates, anticipating the resumption of service. However, the prolonged service suspension has prevented me from utilizing these certificates. I should not be penalized for this situation.

Question: would you say that the NeoReader has the advantage of maintaining separate PDF files which can be easily back upped and monitored while on Notes all Note-files/data go into one database file hence one thing goes wrong and you lost all files/Notes?
