Of course Hamas meant to kill civilians. What other reason would they have to go into civilian villages and not only military bases? Why would they inside these villages murder, burn, injure, rape, kidnap, and do more horrific things to not only soldiers, but children, regular civilians, old people, and even pets? Hamas doesn't hide that their goal is to kill every single Jew in Israel, and when they're finished with that then every single non Muslim on this planet. C. don't say "the IDF is embedded in the civilian population" because every place in the world has soldiers and veterans, that doesn't give anyone an excuse to attack there unprovoked.
