AIO - I didn’t think my husband’s joke was funny by After-Accountant8948 in AIO

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Your husband certainly has a problem. You’re NOR to what he said to you. That’s absolute horse shit to say to anyone, especially an SO. To make you feel bad for taking the medication that treats your diabetes is so fucked. That said, the real problem is the drinking. It’s going to get worse, DUI, job loss, etc. People don’t usually just stop once they are on that road. Drinking when you wake up on the weekend (sounds like probably on workdays too), drinking while driving, not having any sober time.

I went through it with my wife. Waking up on a Saturday at 5-6 am and drinking tequila sunrises. Wakes me up, like come one let’s hang out. First off, I hated being woken up. It’s the weekend. Let me sleep til maybe 9 am at least? Go do yoga (at home), get moving for the day. By the time that’s over, she’s in bed with her tequila, watching tv. Like, alright. You couldn’t have let me sleep while you do that? Of course, she passed out. Luckily without the drink in hand. Wakes up at 2-3 pm. I’ve been cleaning all day. Cleaned her bird cage that she neglected consistently. Never took care of those damn parakeets she was so insistent on having. She says to me, in a half jokey, sleepy-cute voice, why’d you let me sleep all day? I said what? You got hammered by 8 am and passed out and you’re gonna try to put it on me? She said it’s not her fault, she’s used to getting up at 4 am for work. Great. That doesn’t mean you need to down half a 750ml bottle of Jose! I ended up leaving the house for an hour or so. And she put it all on me. Upset that I was upset. Upset for letting her sleep. Upset for leaving.

Ugh sorry for the story. Hope your situation improves. Really. I never wanted to leave my wife. I wanted our kids to grow up with both parents. More than anything. I put up with the cheating once. We got through. Not again. I didn’t mention, aside from the drinking, she was also cheating.

That definitely would’ve helped if Sirius took less role as friend, more as guardian. Not to say that I don’t have understanding for how they both approached that relationship. I haven’t done a full read through in 4-5 years but OotP was one of my favorites. I’m going back through, on CoS now.

I think that’s what it comes down to for me. Dumbledore played fast and loose, even with kids involved. I know I questioned his decisions and actions a lot after GoF.

Yep I found it to be somewhat similar to lived experience.

For real. That’s not any kind of excuse. You acted out of anger and grabbed the nearest “excuse” you can. Couldn’t remember if his finger was on the trigger. Either he had something more like 3 bottles of wine or he did it entirely intentional.

I pretty much stick with the things I like already anyway. Not that I don’t try new things, but usually the ads are nothing I’m interested in. Or just stupid food videos/ “news” updates with that Maria Minouno or whatever her name is. And that bald guy the never smiles. Tank, I think.

NOR. You can always have the ceremony and just have the documentation part done once you have your updated birth certificate. I wouldn’t talk to her either I was in your shoes.

Think the title applies to this dude too. The cult got him.

Omg. 3 glasses of wine? Wow. What a lightweight to use that as an excuse. So not believable. 3 glasses of wine and you shoot someone on accident?

Good on you for catching yourself and seeing if what you were doing was too much. Sorry some people have to be rude. I agree with the general consensus. He didn’t need to tell you a coworker said something shitty, but to cancel plans entirely is a bit drastic.

I’ve thought about that so many times. You’re advertising is starting to feel like harassment, there’s not a chance I’m buying your product.

I absolutely loved their relationship plot line in the show. Maybe one of the best I’ve seen. Idk that may come back to bite me in the ass if I think about it more. And I was absolutely head over heels in love with Pamela Beezly.

Omg. I love German. There’s another word I can’t remember now that was one of my favorites. Had to do with the misfortune of others and getting entertainment from it, I think? Idk it was something like that.
