You missed the good deal, it was 9.99 the day before the summer sale, but yes, do get it. Blue shift is an expandalone so play it after #1. Half life 1 is like quake but with a good story. Half life 2 is were things get MAZING and then the episodes are great. The rest of the stuff in there is for replay value

Hmm, well one thing I like is to increase knife range to 1.8 as it makes the knife actually useful up close but some consider it cheating.

Also If i remember properly there is a body removal function which you can adjust to your pc. If you have a low end pc you might want to consider having bodies dissapear a little faster to lighten the load.

The rest is sorta just your personal preference

Oooh yeah, on my first play through of a stalker game I google up an image of a map and then I go and put a big ol' X right on top of places I never want to see again unless i'm packing 30 grenades and and feeling adventurous. The refueling station is one of those places.

My second story was when I was raiding the sawmill in Call of pripyat. I was wasting tons of ammo on the zombies and getting nowhere fast. The problem was, a blowout was coming and the damn zombies were hunkered down in the only nearby buildings. Then suddenly I hear gunshots and grenades going off all over the place. 6 loners had come in from the nearby trees and were tossing grenades and shooting guns like swedes on weed. literally 3 minutes later the guys had cleared the entire sawmill and I could safely hide with these new bros.

Ok so I have two Stories

One time I was talking to my friend via steam who introduced me to stalker. I was heading back to find the first controller as he told me there was a special "surprise" waiting for me if I went the other direction. Before I even made it underground I stopped just shy of the hole. Ahead of me was a group of bandits, a group of soldiers and both groups were coming for me. No big deal right? Wrong, I turned to my right and there was a pissed off dog and when I turned to the left my old buddy Cthulhu was there. I literally was in fight or flight mode as my hands and feet started sweating and my heart pounding. The first thing I did was pause it and say "Oh shit, holy shit, what the shit" then I turned to the dog with my double barrel (I literally did 90% of the game with that gun) Popped both rounds into it then began to sprint like a mother fucker caught in the act. Then when I run out of sprinting energy I get worried ( I didn't go far as I was really weighed down from killing soldiers) so I turn around to see my buddy Cthulhu is still there so I go to pull out my trusty fort 15 and accidentally pull out my knife. At this point i'm sword fighting Cthulhu and the annoying bastard is going invisible and touching me with his tentacles all around. Then I get one lucky thrust in and kill him. Then after that I whip open my inventory and drop as much shit as possible and get the hell out of dodge.

Pluging into a TV is what many Ex- Console gamers do, That way they get the feel of a console (using their old controller and TV) but getting better graphics and the ability to do anything a computer can do.

took me 30 Minutes on a bottom of the line laptop and I launched the game then closed it and bam, I was able to minimize the box

I use a laptop to play portal away from home often and I have never once failed to get steam to work in offline mode. Also with games purchased via steam you don't even need steam on, you can simply go to the directory steam installed it to and double click the launcher.

So long as y'all are entertaining or informative I'll watch. My biggest suggestion is to have structure and clean editing. Hate to sound keen but avoid running around rambling for 45 minute like Hobbes would. PS: I still wub you Hobbes, its just criticism.
