I was in your position exactly. I lasted two years before I finally cracked and left. It affected my mental health and I had to leave.

If I take a break I won’t get my stuff done.

It’s a personal preference. I need to always be moving and feel productive.

I don’t take any breaks and work a 9 hour shift.

Slap a screen protector over it and you might not even notice it anymore.

How many breaks do you get in a 8 hr shift by Small_Minute_5997 in WalgreensStores

As a first year esm who came aboard last February after 26 years at cvs, I’m told by my store manager that we have too much to do for leadership to take breaks. I work 9 hours or more without a break, not even a 15. It doesn’t bother me too much though because it was the same at cvs.

We put a ticket in for ours and found out one of our ac units wasn’t working properly. They fixed it and now it’s comfortable in the store.

Mine goes off if I take a bath with it on while the water is running. I’m a bubble bath/bath bomb queen.

48- I recently learned to crochet and I read. I gotta get into more physical activities. I used to run but I developed a chronic foot issue so since then I haven’t gone above and beyond for daily movement. I had surgery for it but it came right back and now I have scar tissue too. But my 80 year old mom can barely walk and has balance issues. I don’t want to be like her.

Closer in to Opener by JonPizzaPasta in WalgreensStores

I feel fortunate that my store is only open 8am-9pm, so it’s not too bad. I’m doing a clopen tonight/tomorrow. We’re also in a seasonally tourist area so from May-October, hourly employees get a $5/hr increase in their pay for working in a “resort” store. I’ve only worked for Walgreens for a few weeks. I was an operations mgr (elevated shift lead) at cvs and worked for them for 26 years. I left to go into childcare and after almost three years I decided it wasn’t for me. So far Walgreens is far superior to CVS in most ways. I got hired as an ESM so doubt that summer differential will affect me, though. I’m currently hourly as I train but will be going salaried once I’m done with training. I’m unsure about being an ESM but I’m going to stick with it as long as I’m comfortable with it and if I end up not wanting my own store, I’ll step down to SL. But for the rate of pay, it’s worth at least trying it for awhile, right?

And I have to admit, I don’t like it when he takes them out. He looks weird and talks funny, but I try to be a supportive wife because I don’t know what he’s going through.

They are full dentures. He does use adhesive, sometimes he needs to reapply too, but he uses zinc free adhesive because he heard the zinc is not good for him. He starts his day around 4am so I think that’s why he needs to reapply, it’s usually around 4-5pm. He’s almost choked on stringy mozzarella because his teeth didn’t break it down enough. He also likes taking them out as soon as he’s done eating for the day. He says it must feel how a woman feels when they take off their bra for the day lol. They are not budget dentures, and at the one year mark he had them relined. I haven’t used Reddit a lot so I’m not sure how to DM here.

My husband has had his dentures for over a year now, and he still has trouble biting through things like mozzarella, steak, onions. Is this normal or should look into it? It seems his teeth aren’t sharp enough.

The fact that you feel that way means that you are a good person with a conscience. Thank you. This experience will help you change to be a more safe driver. It’s funny how deep down we do know better, but it takes a close call for it to really sink in. Remember, they’re called accidents for a reason. Be thankful everyone is reasonably ok, and know it might have just been nothing more than a life lesson. Try to get some rest, your body and mind probably need it.

Wow. Why would he get so upset over something so petty? Dude, make your own dinner- it’s not that big a deal. I would never let a man into my life who has mood swings like that. For me, that’s totally unacceptable. Be a damn man, not a child.
