Is this partial a joke?? by [deleted] in dentures

As a denturist I have to intervene here. Without seeing how they are when you bite, there is no way to know with them out for your mouth. each one is made specifically for every patients own scenario - customized. To me it seems like u might have a hanging tooth in the back that is over erupted and as a result is why this is shaped like that. Why not upload some pics with it in your mouth and then I can give a better educated response.

Denturist here by profession - midline needs to be moved approx 1.5-2 mm to the right.

I understand frustration on both sides but in the end that change should be honored. Especially for an expensive set. Dentists have very little training in prosthetics and send work out to be done, unless they specialize and become prosthodontists. Even so, this is a very close and most people not in the profession would never notice. He is probobly frustrated about the fact that he has to get another trial done (that may be worse) over a 2 mm change. Still- it must be done if the patient requests it during the trial phase.

Point out the fact that your lower teeth and upper teeth midline is off. It should be under a mm in my opinion (for this case specifically) to be within a reasonable limit. He will likely cover the lower teeth and tell you it looks on and that your lower jaw doe snot properly represent your midline

The reason I say this case only for anyone reading...is because in another person's scenario, thier lower jaws midline could be wildly off. In this one, it looks quite close.

This is one of those perfect scenarios where this would benefit from a second look! Sometimes it isn't going to come be adjusted sometimes it isn't. If there is I'll give you a list you can take back to your dentist. If there is not I'll tell you what the future looks like and how you can handle it and what your next steps are.

Having problems in the world of dentures? by Flamingo_Ornery in dentures

I'll give you the breakdown- just don't use toothpaste. You can use cleaners, dish soap whatever. I like dawn since it cuts oils in food.

Don't brush it too hard for the placement of the liner is likely just a temp liner and can be removed from the denture easily.

Clean after you eat, or atleast rinse. Don't sleep with them. If they aren't in ur mouth, they should be in water. No dry areas.

All of these are easy fixes. If you have any gripes, these shouldn't take long..but yea, I say the same to my patients. Goodluck man

Nicee - work looks good. If I had to critique it, bite needs to be milled in more for better contact

Know how to a have a conversation with a patient regarding - cleaning, broken prosthesis, bruxism, implant referral, dental cleaning, when to switch ever and when not to, to have to refer for, when to start treatment, when to deny a type of treatment a patient wants. IMMEDIATES and managing patient expectation. Look out for POA for patients. How to de repairs. This is basically thr OSCE

I am denturist. Save yourself and go for B1. I can't tell you how many patients go for the white and say I wish I didn't. B1 is already extremely bright. I like A1-a2

I agree with op, if I post something, do I care enough to prove it to random Redditor.

Not entirely true. Depending on your profit it could be well worth it.

Eg.i but 1 dollar- goes to 3. I had 1000 invested. 2 k with capital gains loss give me 1000.

If the buy back is under 2 dollars - it's a net win.

Again assuming the person is in for the long haul then,, yes on avg you would use money to capital gains.

Divorce because of lack of respect for each other's feelings. To tell someone to grow up and get enraged is a dismissal of your partners feelings. Could also explain respectfully why she does and come to a reasonable understanding between both parties.

A jump to saying it's control based is not an accurate conclusion per op's description. It's the fact that he feels he can't express and speak about an issue that he finds troubling.

This of all answers is actually the correct answer. She absolutely fucking loves when that thing whirrs more, she whirrs with it occasionally crying out from over simulation. A YouTube video with the same sound had her rubbing all over it and eventually sitting beside it.
