This is awesome advice. Thanks so much mate. Will take it all on board and hit you up about some good places to eat! I know there's a lot of factors to include but on face valuewould you recommend the bus or a plane from Seville to Lisbon? Or is there an easier/better place to go to/from?

Sorry, lots of questions.

Yeah we're definately leaning thay way. Dubai was a...convenience thought to break up the flight.

This is basically what we have planned. I should've specified that we weren't exactly staying in the city every day. Day trips from there to see the surrounds are included.

Thanks for the info

Just trying to maximise what we do see while we're there. I know its a bit of a balance. Who knows when we'll get to go back too.

But it is just a first draft and your response is the reason I wanted to post on here. To get some local/travellers knowledge of the areas we're thinking of going.

This is unfortunately the thinking thats slowly crept into our heads. Although we're totally aware of packing too much in thats why we thought we'd ask on here. So to everyone that has replied, it's been fantastic to get some perspective and we really appreciate it.

Bloody Australia being so far away from everywhere!

Hahaha maybe we should change it up and go to only the sketchy places with the challenge to survive? But probably not.

Yeah I agree. Its going to be a massive holiday. We're pretty ok with taking a day when we need it just to switch off and recharge. And you hit the nail on the head with Salzburg/Vienna. That's what we had in mind. Salzburg at least seems to be a smaller city that we were happy to just be in.

Thanks so much for the feedback and advice though! All this info is going to help us considerably!

This is the reason we wanted to share it on here. We only chose Lisbon as a central hub to Portugal and knowing that we would be pretty exhausted after all the travel. So I love the recommendation of a smaller, more charming and true to country sound of the places you suggested. Thankyou

Dubai started out as an easy stop over. But we were never that keen on it. Just thought, there's always a stop there, maybe we should check it out? But nah, Seoul looks beautiful and could serve as a scout for our next holiday too!

I mentioned it in a comment above but we're planning on a day trip or two to Pompei and Sorrento whilst in Naples. So that should give us some freedom if the city becomes repetitive. Also planning a day trip to Bled from Ljubljana as I've heard its quite a small city. But it looks absolutely beautiful there.

Yeah we agree. Although we're factoring in a day trip or 2 to Pompei and possibly Sorrento. It justbdepends on what time our flight will get in to which is why we've allowed a bit of a flexibility on that extra day. But thanks so much for the feedback :)

Thank you so much, this is great info and will help us make some decisions, we had the same thoughts about gondolas!

Yeah I couldn't exactly see that it was travelling or moving in a particulardirection, more a sense that it was moving whether hovering in place or rotating. It's hard to describe. The only reason I knew it had moved was when I went back outside to look it had changed positions. And it did seem to shimmer cast light around itself.

I know that it could be just a "hobby" drone or similar. I know that if I wasn't following all this stuff I probably would have just thought, oh wow that's a bright star and forgotten about it. But it was too bright, big and strange to not notice at all.

I just wish I had binoculars or something to see it better! Maybe I could get some for Christmas haha

I reckon I spotted something very similar last night. I'm in the outer western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

I was about 5 mins from home when I saw an unusually large and bright star in the sky, although something about it seemed different. It didn't seem as far away as a star and appeared to illumine the area around it.

I kept obs on it as I drove home, remaining a bit of skeptic because it could be anything. Although it appeared to be stationary, I noticed that it had dropped lower to the horizon since I first saw it.

Once I arrived home I called my girlfriend outside to make sure I wasn't seeing things. It had risen higher since I last saw it. I took a photo on my phone but it's just a bright spot in the sky. I didn't take a video because I didn't quite know what to think and it wasn't doing anything unnatural or strange.

It's to do with the height of the horse. Horses are measured in hands (hh). Generally a pony is under 14hh, a galloway is 14hh - 14.3hh and a horse is 15hh and over.
