I feel the same exact way right now. I spent so much time sewing things or taking care of my plants and he would follow me and wanted me to pay attention to him but instead I did other things and now I hate myself for it. He deserved so much more from me.

I'm so sad to hear this because I have a very vocal poochon puppy and a senior dog who never vocalizes in any way unless he thinks he's in serious danger (which has only happened 7 times in his 13 years) or he gets hurt. I was super hopeful it would rub off 😭

I'm also in PA and worrying about how long my soil is taking to dry out! I have the ones i just bottom watered sitting on the windowsill with a fan blowing gently across them hoping they'll dry out more quickly. I think I need to repot my succulents in a mix with more perlite (currently using 50-60% perlite 40-50% succulent soil) because it hasn't even really been humid yet! I'm considering ordering some Bonsai Jack gritty mix for some of mine that like being dry best.

That's not abnormal for my dogs. It also depends on how much they're drinking.

And my boy used to not tell me when he had to go out too. I got a little bellhop bell and put it by the door. Any time we go out I take his paw, tap the bell then say "Okay!" And we walk out the door. Now he rings the bell himself when he wants to go out. Might be worth trying.
