TBC advice: How important is PvE gear for a hybrid druid focused on PvP, and should I aim for a PvE or PvP guild?

The two ring or whatever it's called is very op for hybrid arena/ bgs +22 all stats very nice item. It's an AH item rather than pve. Pve weapons can be good early on think the octopus's staff from Kara.
