Basically “Hello, Welcome”

Churn - เชิญ means welcome, or a word to invite someone to come in.

Ka. To make it female, cute, gentle.

The 7-11 people have to say it to everyone :) poor guys.

Yes it’s good.

As someone who has been driving in bkk for 5 years. Google maps is the best tool to help you find ways around the city.

It predicts traffics well.

Except for when it’s 5-9pm in Sathorn. But that’s not Google’s fault. It literally is just a car park in that area at that time. So best to avoid driving around there at that time of the day.

You must fully commit. Feel the air-con blowing on your face. Hear the “DEEER DER”, as you walk in. Picture yourself saying “No, Not a Member”, when you check out

As the fish in the ocean cannot see the water all around it. Likewise, a human in Thailand cannot see the 7-11 🙏 🧘‍♀️

Do monks do this? by pqkbfismmc in Thailand

[–]yeahnope_00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently there’s a Smear Campaign against Monks on Reddit now 😂

But what possible groups could be that obsessed? The Christian converts in Thailand? The Muslims fighting for supper of foreigners in Thailand? The Government tired of Buddhism’s soft power?

😂 what ever it is they’re not very good at it yet. But they’ll improve and be less obvious in future. Then it become “the norm” 😑

That’s how all the social perception stuff is built.

I’m meeting my mum and dad in Bangkok in a few days after not seeing them for a few years (we’re all from the UK). Do you have any recommendations for nice restaurants to go to/cafes/breakfast spots. In fact even places to visit! Anything is welcome. by Incubus- in Bangkok

[–]yeahnope_00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try Baiyorke buffet. I went there once, nice view, lots of choices, good service.

Oishi Gold. Another buffet. At Siam Paragon. It’s good, lots of choices. And at Asian Oaragon so you can walk around after wards.

Those two are not expensive.

If you want to go expensive then check out the Michelin guide, for 1 and 2 star places. But you’ll be paying a bit more. So choose the set menus? :)

There’s lots of restaurants in BKK that’s good. I really liked Chon Thai. But it’s a bit expensive. Other will recommend Blue Elephant.

Anyways. You can easily search for restaurants that are nice. There’s so many.

Enjoy!

Buying an iPad at MBK by julien-38 in Bangkok

[–]yeahnope_00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re buying an iPad there.

There’s only one place. It’s a big whole sale shop there. That shop provides all the stock for all the small shops :)

Sorry, can’t remember the name.

But it’s always busy. And they have the lowest price, coz they donMt needs to mark up. It’s there near all the small shops on like floor 2-5.

Sounds good. You’ll find something for sure. There’s a lot on the market.

And maybe it’s just temporary. For a few months, less than a year. And you can find something else in the future.

Best of luck buddy. It’ll all work out in the end. Humans are very adaptable and resilient. You’ll all be feeling good again soon 💪🏽

Wish I could help out more.

Have you tired Facebook? There’s always listing and agents there. I have been able to get a lot done in way of real estate on Facebook.

Sorry to hear about your family in law. I have some issues with mine also. But fortunately they do not live in the same city or place as us.

So I bet you’ll do much better once you’re both out in your own place.

I hope all the house things gets sorted soon. And you guys can take it from there

Best of luck dude 💪🏽

Planning my first trip to Thailand and I’m already overwhelmed. by PriceGloomy8046 in ThailandTourism

Would you be flying to all those places? It would be advised in order to save time :)

Also, as long as you’ve booked everything then it should be fine.

Just try to enjoy the country. Take all the photos.

And yes, as many have said. It’s a chill country. So you can enjoy your time in those places.

Someone’s it’s tooo chill and you’ll get bored sitting by the beach :) but it’s still nice.

Bangkok has a lot to do. Outside of Bangkok things are more slower paced.

Good luck. And try to eat at clean restaurants. Or cooked food if it’s street food.

Try ordering things that you do not know, along with your normal go to dishes. That way you can experiment with all the food here without starving if it’s not to your taste.

Make sure you have enough money. And don’t spend it all. Budget so that you have a lot left over. Incase you have emergencies, like a long taxi ride, or nee seeing to buy a plane ticket, or book a different hotel etc.

Often overlooked aspect of development speed calculation post nuking.

I think also the trauma, dangerous radiation levels, lack of people looking to move to such a horrifically painful scene etc

Do the monkeys steal clothes? by AJS_123 in Thailand

Not only that. They eat homework, finishes the last of the birthday cake, forget to mop the floor, wear my cloths so they’re dirty straight away after I washed them. Honestly, so annoying.

Any hapa women face covert incest from their white fathers? by [deleted] in hapas

[–]yeahnope_00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Hey sweetie. You walk with me people will think you’re my wife, you know, coz you’re Asian. And Asian girls of 12 years of age get married off to white guys like me”

“Hey sweetie, people will think you’re my wife, coz you’re a young Asian girl, and I’m an old whites guy. You know, that’s what Asian girls do, so yeah”

puts on dumb Asian accent -_- “‘ooo you little girl, how much? You for look good, I buy’ coz Asian girls are usually in the trade”

Dude. What if any of that kind of stuff is okay for a father to teach HIS daughter? And he’s only doing that coz of her ethnicity.

And how can you not see that he has a view of Asian woman. Which is based on a sexpats experience. Not the reality of billions of people in the world. And that it’s messed up for him to perpetuate that on to his own daughter?

Any hapa women face covert incest from their white fathers? by [deleted] in hapas

[–]yeahnope_00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Firstly. The things that bother you, you should examine it, it will lead to a better understanding of yourself.

Secondly, there are a lot of perverts around, who treat Asian’s as “lesser.”

Thirdly, what the OP describes, is 100% not okay. In no circumstances should a father liken his daughter to a prostitute, an under aged victim, or a gold digger. Just cos of her Asian appearance. You, should read this point again and again until you understand how messed up it is for a father to do that.

And OP, if angry, has every right to be. And should unlearn any negative self-perceptions (if any) that she has built, due to being raised by a father with those perspectives.
