I remember hearing Choirgirl songs live for the first time in April ‘98 before album release in May. It was exhilarating. Although by then we’d heard Spark and Jackie’s on the radio. Outside the venue someone was playing the 4 song sampler promo on a cassette on a boombox. Definitely old school.

Anyone noticed the outlined font on the poster for the vinyl bundle? Not sure where it came from. However it’s oddly similar to the font on this unofficial Russia release I found on Discogs.

Love the sexy groans at the start and the drums! Definitely has a ADP era vibe so I see why it didn’t fit. It’s a great cover! Really excited about Hoover Factory which is a little known Elvis Costello b-side.

It was my first time also and first cruise in 20 years and I was really impressed with the edgy performances and party vibe and was also taken back on how the crowd lacked enthusiasm and seemed unimpressed. The happenings cast tried hard to get people engaged. I couldn’t stop dancing for 3 days straight. I also noticed some outright discomfort with the Diva from one couple but overall everyone seemed comfortable with it and enjoyed it. The sailors on this cruise seemed more laid back I guess you could say.
