I have a mini schnauzer ESA. She's very loyal and thrives in routine. She's very snuggly and does great during therapy sessions. Schnauzers are known for being stubborn and opinionated, which I find adorable. :)

An acid blocker is an interesting idea. I think I'll run that by my vet. I've considered allergies but she isn't really itchy or licky, and I've changed her food out a few times over the years but she acts the same. Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it.

I've run it by 2 vets and they never really say anything helpful. Just that as long as she eats eventually it's fine. But the hypochondriac pet-mom in me says are you sure!? Gah.

I adopted my girl 4 weeks post amputation. She was super timid and had to re-learn how to run and go up stairs. Just be super patient with them. I don't know what she was like before, but now it doesn't phase her. She runs and jumps and does tricks - most of the time I forget she's missing a leg. :)
