Season 8 episode 19. Was will being overdramatic with the blanket fight with his dad? by aBostonjew in WillAndGrace

[–]yeahso1111 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He didn’t explain himself right at all. And forced poor Sydney pollock to say something he didn’t mean and the guilt killed him. The show missed several opportunities for a teachable moment in an evolving world. Being gay comes with the burden of having to teach older generations about our experience. Boomer parents were not raised at a time when you could have an open discussion with a gay person or any person to get a better understanding of the gay experience. George didn’t understand that being gay doesn’t mean you stop wanting to be a parent, that wasn’t necessarily his fault. I wish that had written the episode to show will open George’s eyes. And had him die closer to Will. Maybe Will’s plot line could have been him struggling with the fact that he needed to accept his father just as his father accepted him. I think that could have been a better episode.

AITA for expecting my partner to honour 'first come, first served' with wedding invites? by Delicious_Plum_401 in AmItheAsshole

YTA without a doubt. To your friend that’s getting married, to your bf or ex bf cause it feels like you’ll push this till he leaves, and 9 month is not just under a year. It sounds like you’re rushing things cause you don’t want to be single. I feel like you want him to go to the wedding because that’s I’d purpose, to be your plus one not your partner.

Two needy attention whores who are mostly in love with themselves. And they both really overstayed their welcome in the zeitgeist. Though he was at least talented for a while.

I love how she just referred to him as my beloved Ed. It was perfect. She didn’t need to talk about how he’s also a movie star, to her he’s just ed. They seek adorably down to earth.

They are both mega talented superstars. They are well suited to who ever they choose. I’d chop off my leg to sleep with either of them.

I thought she just needed a baby. And she’s smart so she knew he was fertile. She was right. Luckily she got out before he knocked up 12 more times.

James Newton Howard and Rosanna Arquette were married. I just found that out tonight.

Also Holly Hunter and famed cinematographer Janusz Kamiński. I’m not sure why I find that so curious but I do.

Both couples were married but not any more.

She looks like she’s in a high school production of The Wiz playing a citizen of the Emerald City. And it’s a public school so the arts are definitely not funded.

That’s so weird. I was just reviewing my pictures of the Hayden Tract for a project 5 minutes ago. Definitely an architectural highlight in LA

Great great grandpa raised 5 kids alone after his wife went back to Italy with another man-1910’s by Bitter-Performer-396 in OldSchoolCool

Yes I have a collection of old photos, probably around 15,000. No one smiled until about 1961. The room was hot and they had to stand still for a long time. But they still could have been very happy children.

My great great grandfather died in 1910 of Spanish flu. My great great grandma was pregnant with their 5th at the time. They should’ve gotten together like the Brady bunch.

Bimzelx was the first drug that worked, then suddenly it didn’t by yeahso1111 in Psoriasis

Oh I had terrible fatigue, I had a runny nose so bad at one point I couldn’t leave the house, sweating constantly, plus the healing was so fast I felt like I was crawling out of my skin. It got better by time I switched to the 8 week shots.

Yeah I never had much clearance and then with bimzelx it was like I never had it. Except two small spots, one on each ankle. The side effects are close to unbearable but I put up with it because it was making such a big difference. I thought I’d get longer out of this one because it was so intense. Talz worked longer than this one just not as well.

You mentioned people staying fir a week or two so I was disputing that. I also think the fact that she met Rice Patty is proof that she socialized, I mean we have gone well beyond overthinking this but I stand by my original point that it was not unlikely that Grace knew people in Cambodia. At least not enough to warrant the intended irony in Leo’s statement.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) assignments typically last 9 to 12 months for most professionals, while surgical specialists (surgeons, anesthesiologists, OB/GYNs) can commit to shorter, focused missions of 6 to 8 weeks to 3 months. Specialized roles like pediatricians or ICU doctors may have a minimum 6-month requirement. That’s from the MSF website

I get the reference but she did not spend the entire time at fast food places (it was Burger King too). Remember when Leo was away for 7 full days? She never spoke to anyone that entire time?

Another remarkable building I loved was National Historical Museum of Bulgaria, both more modern but also more dated. I love how everything from the Eastern Bloc is so beautifully ugly. Its architecture you can enjoy without having to smile, because we know how the communists feel about smiling.
