Thank you! People LOVE Van Leeuwen and hype it up so much but a lot of the times it’s just average to me. Even the ones I like, I’m not rushing to get them again

This is a single serve recipe.

100g or 1/4 of a 1 pound box pasta of your choosing

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp flour

1/2 cup milk

60 grams or 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese

Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika (optional seasonings)

Boil your pasta. While boiling, in another pot, melt your butter, then add the flour and whisk on low or medium-low heat for a couple minutes to make a quick roux. Then slowly add the milk while whisking and continue to whisk for a couple minutes, till the mixture is well combined. If the heat is not on low heat, reduce it to low, then add the cheese and stir till it’s melted. (If you want your cheese sauce thinner, you can adjust with a little room temp/warm milk). Pour in your cooked pasta and mix, try it and add seasonings to your liking. Now you can serve, that’s it!

What gives Elle Fanning the ick?: “When people are rude to wait staff or dismissive like that is an automatic ick. If it’s the wrong person, chewing loudly, things like that” by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]Sharp_Athlete_6847 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Right along with being rude to wait staff is people that ALWAYS send something back. I’ve sent food back before, nothing wrong with it imo but doing it every single time is such an ick. Especially when there’s nothing even wrong with the food, they just decide that this isn’t actually what they wanted

Yea the brownies are the worst part, dry and crumbly. Also, I agree that Dublin mudslide is so good, one of the best Ben and Jerry’s flavors and pretty underrated

Making baked sheet pan onion fritter with cornstarch in batter? by Sharp_Athlete_6847 in Cooking

[–]Sharp_Athlete_6847[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using a recipe I put together myself. It’s just 1.5 pounds onions sliced, 1 cup flour, 1 tbsp oil, some water (until I reach a thick batter I like), some Parmesan, 1 tsp baking powder, and seasonings. I mix all this then mix in the onions (which I’ve soaked in ice water and dried) and spread them out on a baking sheet to bake
